Nice place, good location, owners not so generous!
11 of us were here for a Hen weekend and the apartment was great. I wouldn't call it '4 bedroom' it's 4 bedrooms then a lounge with some sofa beds in. The wifi also doesn't work, but apart from that it's sound. The girl who organised it, didn't realise we had to be out by 10.00 on the last day (yes it did say so in the small print, but these things happen). The cleaners arrived and we were out SUPER quick and very apologetic. The people that arrived were frosty and grumpy, despite the fact we were in their way for all of 10 mins. Then they charged us a sizeable extra fee because of it! Because I rushed out the door so fast (frankly scared of the grumpy folks) I left a dress. I called the cleaning lady who was actually really sweet and said she'd post it to me. I offered to pay and she said that to be honest it didn't cost much and the owner probably wouldn't charge. The next day I got a bill for three times the amount it cost to post it.
Just stingy really. It's a shame when people care more about the pennies than good old fashioned customer service. Leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Shame as it's a nice place.
Owner's Response: This is NOT A TRUE ACCOUNT. I have NEVER. met that person or even talked to her. I am disappointed as we had allowed the group to start their stay earlier than first arranged - for free. I shall address a few points that are blatantly untrue:
1) the Wifi worked before, during and after the guests' stay as verified by other guests. Guests should make sure they use the code written in the guests' handbook.
2) the hire agreement the guests signed states clearly (and not in small print) that check-out time is 10am. At 10:30, the cleaners found guests still IN BED! The guests then sent me a text message asking if they could leave their bags in the apartment until 1:30pm. I texted back that, regrettably, it was not possible as the cleaners needed to prepare the apartment for the next people. The guests texted back that it was "not a problem". They eventually left around 11:15 am, an hour and a quarter after checking-out time! .
3) WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE, the guest contacted the cleaner directly and arranged for her to send on a dress she had left behind. The cleaner asked for payment of her (very reasonable) costs. Whilst we aim to help where we can, additional service requiring ADDITIONAL WORK AND COSTS on the part of the cleaner can NOT be for FREE.
We would like to thank our many guests who have supported us with kind messages and very positive reviews and we will always strive to offer a warm welcome to both returning and new guests.
