The convent is part of the Historical Italian Residences Association. Founded by a Lombardian family, the building was originally called Convento di Giuncheto. In 1300 Saint Agnese, returning from Florence, gave life to the Poor Clare order who then lived in the convent. Then passed to the Dragomanni family, the building was restored in 1600.
