Alcossebre Vacation Rental house

This was a lovely villa situated in a very well maintained complex. The villa was clean and tastefully furnished with nice fresh clean linen. I apologies now if I over use the word ‘lovely’ but it’s true, everything was just lovely. The main living area and main bedroom is air-conditioned which was just as well because when we went (end of July beginning of August) the weather was wall to wall fantastic! My children aged 10 and 14 loved it too especially the pool and the freedom offered to them in such a lovely resort. The people living within the direct area (didn’t meet any others) were very friendly and made us very welcome. The pool really is just by the patio and is fabulous and having looked around at the other pools on the complex, this one was by far the best. The only thing that could improve the villa is air-conditioning in the second bedroom but that’s a personal preference. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to visit again. The local supermarket was a short and very pleasant walk away and sold just about anything you could need. A quick tip, we parked in the town centre in a blue bay at lunch time and got a parking ticket! White bays are free all the time. No fear though, with the pink ticket you get a little envelope, put the ticket in the envelope and find a parking meter, press the yellow button three times and pay the ‘on the spot fine’ of €3.90 (I think) and you get a slip, half you keep as a memento and half goes in the envelope with the pink fine slip and post in the slot at the top of the machine. Much, much cheaper than dear old blighty! We visited the water park just south of Alcossebre, about 30 minutes drive and had a wonderful day. My advice is to make use of the very handy cool box thoughtfully provided and take a pack lunch and lots of drinks. We got there for when it opened at 10 and had a wonderful day. Another good trip out was to Valencia. I recommend the open top bus tours (two tours, one ticket) to see the old city do tour 1 and tour 2 to see where the Valencia Grand Prix runs. I would also recommend the nature trail and old castle just north of Alcossebre and the church just to the south, all by car not foot. There are plenty of places of visit and park and walk. Overall I highly recommend the villa, we really did have a wonderful time and the welcome pack was very much appreciated especially as my eldest daughter is a type 1 diabetic and the chilled orange juice on arrival was much appreciated.

We have just come back for a 9 night stay at this fantastic part of Spain which is unspoilt by tourism... Spain as it was 20 years ago! The house is perfect for families or couples of all ages the owners use this as thier holiday home and have not skimped on the decoration and accessories. The pool is in full view from the terrace and so is easy to keep an eye on the kids playing.

The beaches and shops are within a 10 min walk and there are lots of local attractions within easy reach by car.

Will be returning next year ........

This is the 2nd year we have stayed at Jason and Helens perfectly equipped holiday home - which is so perfect we never ate out once. This was the reason we returned to Alcossebre as the kids were well catered for: swimming for most of the day, then a walk to the beach to enjoy crabbing or wave jumping, and back to the pool for more swimming whilst we sunbathe - with the front door locked and the youngest going pool, get dressed, TV, pool, get dressed, TV all day whilst we sat just by the terrace entrance, this made it a perfect holiday, and relaxing, for the 2nd year running.
For us eating out is now too expensive, having lived in Spain on exchange rate of about 1.50, so we did find the general cost of the holiday a lot more, even though we know the best places to buy food etc, however my meals, thanks to the well equipped kitchen, were fair competition to any restaurant.
With no time restraint in the pool we found the kids, having been showered for dinner, jumped back in the floodlit pool until bedtime, whilst we relax with a drink, perfect.
