Bégou is about half way between the beautiful Bastide towns of Monflanquin and Villeréal. It is an area of fruit trees, mostly plums for the famed Pruneaux d'Agenais, and vines. There is a wonderful choice of restaurants locally, some specialising in the local cuisine of duck, walnuts and truffles.
It is a superb area for walking, cycling, canoeing, fishing, golfing, horse riding or simply lazing around the pool relaxing.
Visit some of the superb local chateaux, many of which have summer long exhibitions by local artists. There is a choice of grottos to visit and the delightful medieval bastide towns with their evening markets and dances where you can taste the local farm produced cuisine, washed down by the local wines.
