We absolutely love Colorado and wanted a place to escape to on weekends that was close to our home in Colorado Springs, but still felt like we were 'getting away'.
True rest and relaxation is in store for anyone staying at this cabin.
My husband and I were looking for a quiet mountain get away and this cabin was just what we were looking for. The view was amazing. The cabin was cozy and just the right size for the 2 of us. We brought our food and never left the cabin during our stay. We did hike around the cabin in the snow. Sharon was good at communicating the information we needed. We would highly recommend this cabin and plan to go back again - winter or summer this place is awesome!
My girlfriend and I spent 5 days at this cabin to celebrate my birthday and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and it was fabulous!! The cabin was very clean except for a little dusting I had to do. It also came fully stocked with everything you can think of. From DVDs and games to spices and condiments and towels and blankets. The only thing we had to buy was the food we wanted to eat that week. The cabin wasnt too far from town but was far away enough that we felt completed secluded. There are other cabins near by but with all the trees you don't even see or hear them. The driveway was steep but luckily we had an SUV and no difficulty getting to the cabin. It did snow one day and we thought we were going to be snowed in but luckily, or unluckily, someone came and plowed the driveway. The snow was so beautiful and made it look like a winter wonderland. We had a great time looking at all the stars at night on the patio and enjoyed the silence of being in the mountains. Unfortunately, we never saw any animals but we did see deer tracks so I guess we just missed them. It was the perfect getaway for us and we will definitely be back. I highly recommend this cabin!!
This is the perfect little vacation spot. The cabin was warm and friendly and the perfect size. The location and the views were picturesque. Everything about this home was perfect. We had two couples stay and it was the most delightful time. We can't wait to visit again!
The property and view was awesome! Had a great weekend out there. Highly recommended.
We had such an excellent time! Setting it up was very easy and smooth. Everything was done online and for somebody that travels a lot, that's great! The cabin was everything as advertised and more. Like most people mention, the cabin is stocked with everything you could possibly need. We appreciated that since we were only staying two nights and didn't want to pack the whole house! I was a bit worried about keeping the cabin warm on cold nights without bothering with a fire, but the electric heat was more than adequate to keep up. While staying here I highly recommend the Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center! Thanks for the cabin, we look forward to doing it again!
The cabin was just as described, very clean and well equipped.
The view is wonderful. Perfect for two people. Go to the restaurant in Divide, McGintys'.
Food is terrific and a little different, that you would not expect in a little mountain town.
The house is very well maintained, however some attention is needed on the driveway. Had a difficult time maneuvering over the large trenches at the bottom of the driveway. Spoke to the owner regarding this and she was aware of the problem. As we were staying there for a week and I called on Monday, I assumed this would have been taken care of, by end of 2nd day after the phone call my 66 year old husband attempted to fix the trenches as best he could. Unfortunately we were reminded of this everyday as we attempted to get up and down the driveway. It is steep but we have 4 wheel drive so that was not the issue, the deep trenches were wider than our tires.
