A lovely getaway from a getaway!

My boyfriend and I were looking to spend a couple weeks in Spain for our summer holiday, but we couldn't agree on city vs. countryside. He likes the hussle and bussle of cosmopolitan cities and I prefer peace and quiet, for the most part. When we found this lovely house in the outskirts of Barcelona, we thought, "Fabulous, the perfect compromise!"
The house is located just a short, and scenic, train ride away from the center of Barcelona. The only downside is that the trains only run until about midnight mid-week, but we are not really the late night clubbing type, so it was fine for us. On the weekends the trains run later, until around 2am, so there is plenty of time for an after dinner drink :)
The house is nestled in a very lush, old village - you would have no idea you were even in Barcelona! The house has a special energy about it, it's very peaceful and full of history. The garden is well kept and the decor of the interior is done in good taste.
Margot, who manages the rentals, is extremely helpful and hospitable. She is easy to reach if you need anything,
Overall, our experience at this property, and Barcelona in general, was memorable and just what we were looking for. I hope to make it back there again soon! And definitely recommend staying here!

Owner's Response: Its a 7 mins. taxi ride from Barcelona if you do end up wanting to stay out all night! Our catch the first metro at 5am...
