Peaceful Retreat

I rented this place over Labor Day after a friend cancelled plans at the last minute. I was left scrambling to find a vacation rental. The photos do not to this place justice. It is small, but very, very cozy. The main sleeping area is separated by curtains. The bed offered a comfortable and restful night's sleep. There's a small room with a door that has a very comfortable futon and scenic views out the window. I woke up early every morning to sit out on the patio, cozied up to a blanket while enjoying my cup of coffee and taking in the views which are stunning. The sounds of nature soothing, I felt I was out deep in the forest. I love to cook and was quite impressed that the kitchen is well-equipped. There was a library of movies which we enjoyed. The place is also very clean. The property is conveniently located at the entrance of two hiking trails. It is also a very short walk into the center of town if you don't mind walking/exlporing. The Farmers Market was, by far, the best I've experienced. Ojai Roasting Co. has very tasty coffee. The owners were home during the visit, but were very respectful of our space. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. I very much look forward to visting again soon. Thank you Jakie (sp?) for a lovely, peaceful, wonderful stay. Marilina
