Large, sunny country house away from main housing estate on 4 acres of land within a small Catalan village in the Pyrenees, 900m from the Spanish border. At an altitude of 620m, the summers days are hot and the nights cool enough to sleep comfortably. The house is built of stone and is surrounded by nature's beauty: forests of chestnuts and oaks, plains + popular walking routes (GR11 + GR10). You can really enjoy the peace and beauty of the place: Figueres museum (Dali); Ceret museum (Picasso); Argelés beach; traditional ports in Collioure and Cadaques; picturesque restaurants, cafés and shops all around. Ground floor: 21m2 bedroom, 15m2 bedroom, 11m2 bedroom, shower room, WC, laundry room. 1st floor: 36m2 living room, 10m2 open plan kitchen, 13.5m2 bedroom, 7m2 bathroom with large bath, WC, back kitchen. Roof: 40m2 bedroom with 2 windows. Nearby towns include Ceret (12 miles), Boulou (10 miles), Perpignan (25 mile), La Jonquera (shops + market 7 miles)

The house is at the top of Manrella hill where you will also find a monument to Louis Company, the last president of Catalonia before the Spanish civil war, and the "retirada" route along which the Spanish republicans left. A couple of miles away lies the little village of La Vajol, perched up high overlooking the whole Ampurdan region and Rosas bay.
