Photos and Description of the Mieres vacation farmhouse rental 4 double bedrooms, all with en suite, extra beds can be supplied

Mas Planella, situated near the picturesque village of Mieres, is a beautiful 700 year-old masia (farm house) which has recently been sympathetically restored, keeping its original characteristics and is set in 18 hectares with excellent panoramic views. The masia has 4 large double bedrooms, all en-suite and 1 with a full bath. There are 2 lounges, one with TV, DVD player, internet access and table-tennis. Both lounges have large fireplaces. A large fully equipped kitchen leading into the dining room. There is also a utility room with washing machine, tumble drier and WC. The house has central heating throughout. Cots and highchairs also available. Pets are welcome. Outside has a large patio area with BBQ and garden furniture plus a swimming pool. On the land we have a few farm pets for children. Mas Planella offers great tranquility, fabulous views and is only a short walk into the village where you´ll find 2 great restaurants plus other shops and amenities

Mieres is situated in La Garrotxa which has an outstanding unique natural park based on an extinct volcanic area. The region is wholly unspoilt and also contains many historic and interesting towns and villages such as Olot, Santa Pau, Banyoles, Besalu as well as Mieres itself. The volcanic natural park and a wonderful beach forest (La Fageda) are on the doorstep providing excellent walking, biking and horse riding country.

Skiing: Skiing available at Vallter 2000, Nuria and La Molina 60 to 90 minutes away.

Beaches: The fantastic beaches of the Costa Brava, are only an hours drive away, visit the beuatiful bays of Tamariu, Aiguablava, Sa Riera, Calella and more...

Other Activities: Skiing and beach resorts and activities are just an hour away.

Mas Riera is spacious, beautifully- appointed and equipped, and with literally all the comforts of home and more, such a lovely terrace, pool, and lawn. Located in the country only a short walk friom a charming, medieval village, it is great for families with children of different ages, Beaches at Pals and Begur are within an easy drive. We look forward to the opportunity to return!!!

We can highly recommend this property. The house (masia) has been beautifully restored, is very well equipped and has masses of space - including two separate living rooms.  The location is stunning, with panoramic views and there is lots of outdoor space for children to run around or for barbecues and relaxing in the sun.  The owners also have a few sheep and a pig on the land, which were a big hit with our children.  The owners are very friendly and helpful and met all our needs - e.g. providing children's toys and baby equipment .  The house is situated on the edge of the Garrotxa Volcanic National Park in Catalonia, a really beautiful area to explore. Also within easy reach of historic medieval villages and the Costa Brava. We can't wait to go back!!
