First, I must say that what you see in the photos is 100% accurate. Unfortunately, there aren't enough pictures that demonstrate the breathtaking beauty that surrounds you. This condo is in the hills, has two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms that are on the second floor, a very large sun terrace on the second floor and is well-maintained, clean, but dated (from the 1970's when it was first built). The bathrooms are positively tiny and the bed rooms are small, but adequate. This condo is much larger than a hotel room, so please note that I'm not complaining.
Mrs. Hazel, the invaluable helper of the condo, is first-class, A++. She's fantastic and you will want to take her home with you, she is that wonderful. The only thing that made my stay horrible was the extraordinarily loud music Margaritaville a night club located at the bottom of the hill across the street from the property played from 8:30 pm until between 2 am and 3:40 a.m. Margaritaville...if I could have cut the wires on every speaker facing the hills, I would have done so. That establishment totally ruined my sleep. My husband, 8-yr old and I stayed at this charming condo for a total of 5 days and for 3 out of the five days this obnoxious place blasted their music like they were the only place that mattered. On one of the nights it literally rained cats and dogs and there was no noise coming from them. On the fifth night they were sensible and one could barely hear them.
Nothwithstanding that place, I highly, highly recommend staying in this condo. It's conveniently located to the very small city center of Ocho Rios and a cab can be hired to take you the short distance to Dunn's River Falls and a lot of other beaches. Oh, and they have cable tv, too, so if you don't feel like going out, you can stay in, eat delicious meals and relax.
