Studio flat suitable for 2 people.

Centrally located in a quiet street approximately 180yards from Kennington Tube station ( which has quick and direct lines to the South bank, West End and City) a large and well appointed studio flat.

Laid out to high standards and with its own front door. The accommodation comprises of an entrance vestibule leading to the bay fronted studio room furnished with a comfortable double bed, and sofa, television and period features. A hall with storage and hanging space leads through to a bright and airy eat-in kitchen fitted with cooker, hob, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. A modern shower room and further store with washing machine.

Decorated in neutral colours with a mixture of antique and modern furniture.

A perfect base for either a business or pleasure trip.

Kennington lies just south of the Thames and only one and a half miles from the geographical centre of London.

Close to the tourist spots of the South Bank, Borough Market , City and West End. Great transport links with Tube, Bus and Rail. Minutes away is the delightful Clever Square with its traditional English pub which provides an excellent spot to sit on a summers evening and relax. Good local restaurants....as well as the swanky central ones.

A Wonderful Stay in Kennington

We stayed in this lovely little flat for 5 nights in September, 2007, and had an excellent time. Simon, the owner of the flat, was very friendly and helpful, and a pleasure to chat with. The studio itself is delightfully decorated and cozy, with a comfy queen sized bed and couch for lounging. The kitchen is bright and cheerful, and is very well stocked with utensils to make cooking meals very easy. The bathroom is a little smaller than expected, but it was all we really needed for our stay.
The walk to the Kennington Tube Station is a breeze, and takes less than 2 minutes to get there. We were in Central London for sightseeing in less than 15 minutes altogether, so the location of Kennington is fantastic!
We walked with ease to the Tesco nearby for groceries, as it was not even a 10 minute walk, and there are numerous restaurants and pubs in the area, many of which Simon was able to recommend to us.
All in All, we had a wonderful stay, and we will definately return for another stay sometime soon!

Better flat for holidays

The Simon's flat is better choice for first visit to London. I was there are with my daughter. Way from airport to flat very simple only with 1 change in underground. The district is quiet, and you can relax without problem. Near placed supermarket and some good pub. Way to London eye - only one station by tube. Simon very friendly and responsive. He takes care of him guests. Simon thanks a lot from me and my family.
For my future jorney I'll choose this flat.

Perfect Place, Perfect Host

This lovely apartment was just as represented. Actually quite spacious for a "studio". If need be, I could live there permanently. It was warm and cozy with every amenity needed. There is a security light that goes off and on automatically as you come and go from the apartment and the apartment has its own security system. It's true the bathroom is small but not uncomfortably so and there is even a warming towel bar. The kitchen is cheery and totally separate from the living/sleeping area. Its window looks out on a lovely garden area. The apartment is immaculately clean. Simon Keep, our host, was waiting for us when we arrived with lots of information about the area much of which was also in a booklet in the apartment as well as travel books and brochures. The location is within a five minutes' walk to the Tube station. There are also a number of restaurants and pubs and grocery stores in the area. Although we are now back in sunny South Florida, we'll always remember that Simon's warm hospitality and lovely apartment made the London cold go away!

Brilliant 'Bolt'hole!

Our trip to London was planned for quite some time, together with applications for Olympic tickets. Success all round! Simon welcomed us very warmly and had provided chilled juice and milk, fruit and tea, coffee etc to get us started.Fresh flowers in the hearth too and the rooms were spotless.The studio is a quiet delight and provided much rest and relaxation after busy days at The Olympics and sightseeing. The location is perfect. So easy to get to Embankment to facilitate river trips, 10% off with an Oyster Card. 33% of river travel with a travel card. Very local tube station Kennington enables very speedy top ups.
As the week went by we really appreciated the amenities provided by Simon: the washing machine with tablets, iron, hair-dryer, TV and free WiFi. Local shops within walking distance provide all the basics and so it's very easy to self cater in the sunny, well appointed kitchen. We didn't eat out locally but there seemed to be plenty of choice. There are lots of helpful tips/maps in the Information folder in the Studio.
All towels were provided ( very energetic shower!) and the bedding was changed during our stay. If you're feeling energetic it's possible to cross over the river and walk back to the Studio from the city centre, interesting meandering through historic areas. A good time to check out the Prince of Wales in Cleaver Square for a welcoming, atmospheric pub ( Shepherd Neame) in a quiet spot.

All in all a superb stay, Simon keeps! a 'Gold' standard 'Bolt' hole... before, during and I am sure after the Olympics are over. We have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation for a very comfortable stay in London. Unlike Bolt we will return! Thanks Simon for a great week.
