Chris Shoupe purchased this boat in 2014
Why be land locked? Any Caribbean adventure revolves around the water. Boat rentals and day trips are very expensive. Renting Villas or hotels are also expensive and you are still land locked. Dinning and drinking out also adds considerable expense to your trip. Staying on a yacht gives you 24 hour access to these crystal clear warm waters and is the most affordable way to experience all this beautiful area has to offer. The boat is loaded with everything you need for an amazing adventure. Our crew will assist you along your way so all you have to do is sit back and sip on your freshly made cocktail and enjoy the sun and the fresh sea breeze.
Being on the water offers lots of unique benefits. Its much cooler on the water then on land as we always have a fresh cool breeze. All our cabins are equipped with fans and 5 hatches that let the cool ocean air to blow through. AC is not necessary. As in any tropical area bugs can be an major issue. Staying on the water is the only way to escape them. No need for bug spray here. There is no better way to enjoy the Caribbean then on a Yacht!
Being from Missouri, we're not used to sailboats and being out on the ocean - my comfort zone was going down a spring-fed river in my kayak. However, our time spent with Chris and Ollie on the Kindred Spirit was an experience of a lifetime, and one I hope to repeat often. I love sailing!! We saw porpoises, sea turtles, sting ray, and SOO many incredibly beautiful places that you can only see by boat; Chris & Ollie took exquisite care of us as well as sharing a wealth of information about sailing and the islands. Meals were wonderful, drinks delicious, and atmosphere relaxing and peaceful. Thanks guys for an amazing journey. We loved it!!!!
Fabulous week on the Kindred Spirit island hopping in the BVI! Oli was a confident and patient Captain for our inquiring passengers. Owner/Chef Chris prepared delicious meals that we're all still talking about. Nice snack and beverage selections. Both were very knowledgeable of the boat and islands. We truly enjoyed our time! Thanks, guys, for an amazing and memorable vacation!
Christmas week aboard the Kindred Spirit exploring the BVI was fabulous! Chris and Oli were wonderful hosts. They made us feel at home on their boat. They were attentive to safety as well as to having a good time. Food and beverages were great! Food presentations were lovely. Rum drinks and Bloody Marys were always a good choice for beverages; wine selections were very fine as well. We were very happy with the 1/2 board which gave us the opportunity to explore one meal on the islands. Chris and Oli arranged dives while on our trip and gave advice for extended stay arrangements (both greatly appreciated). Although they did not always appear to have extensive experience with many island attractions beyond the beach, restaurants and bars they were always up to the challenge of helping their guests to explore a new adventure (e.g., finding the flamingo flock on Anegada or searching for the perfect photo op). They were somewhat new to this business when we traveled with them. Their knowledge and expertise of the islands will multiply with every trip they make making their choice as hosts even more amazing! We would definitely rebook another trip with this very personable and competent crew!
We recently spent 3 days sailing around the BVI's on the Kindred Spirit with cpatain Ollie and chef/owner Chris. We had a great time. The food was outstanding. Plenty of cocktails. They made us feel at home on their beautiful boat. They wer excellent hosts.
I would highly recommend chartering with Chris and Ollie. Every one of our wants and needs were promptly satisfied. The beaches were picturesque and the snorkeling world class.
WOW! Spent two days on this boat and wish it could've been forever. We had six of us and it was a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of St. John for a few days. We rented dive gear from a local shop and I think Oliver was a better dive instructor than a captain (Just kidding Oliver you are a great boat driver as well). Definitely will be booking this boat next year we come down but this time we are not going to make the mistake of having such a short stay! I'm going to miss laying out on the trampoline with a cocktail watching the sunset until then.
Our family booked the Kindred Spirit for the week around Christmas. There were 6 of us and we couldn't have had a more superb time. Chris (owner and first mate) and Oliver (Captain) are fantastic hosts. We booked the cruise as 1/2 board (breakfast and one other meal on the boat). We spend 7 nights on-board. Chris cooked most of the time, and every meal was excellent and well paired with some very nice wines! The catamaran is in great condition, each cabin has it's own bathroom/shower which is a plus! The rooms were well equipped and it was obvious that these 2 crew members pay attention to detail. Some of the many things that impressed me about Chris and Ollie was their attention to safety, their attention to their guests, and their sense of fun! As guests, we were cared for in the best ways possible. We traveled mostly around the BVI, even going to Anegada Island to the north. Chris arranged for a couple of scuba diving trips for those of us that are certified divers, and for everyone, we had plenty of time to snorkel, swim, or even just hang. This trip turned into one of our best (and we've taken quite a few!!). THANK YOU CHRIS and OLIVER.
