Located on the main road to Amalfi and near to Ravello and to the sea, the Villa was the theatre of historical events after being the residence for hunting and fishing of the Princes Marsiconovo and the barons of Compagna. This is the place where Vittorio Emanuele III and Queen Elen stayed and where he abdicated the throne to his son Umberto. The heart of the structure is the Tower of Scarpariello that was a booth for the noblemen and now is a museum with original antique artefact's. Scarpariello gave hospitality also to famous politicians as Jacqueline Kennedy, the ambassadors and ministers of Italy, famous actors and major industrialists. This receptive structure is well organized to make your vacation as in your best dreams: maximum relax, friendly staff and a very good level of privacy. Amalfi Coast is well known for such beautiful places as Positano, Ravello and Amalfi, but if one day you do not want to go out of the Villa, just ask to the staff for your every need.

Accommodation of 100 square meters featuring two double rooms with the chance to add a third single bed. One has sea view and one does not have it. The large living room has a library a fireplace and gives access to a covered sea viewed balcony. It offers also a table, some chairs, a sofa and an armchair. Basic cooking is possible in the small kitchen featuring a 4 burner stove, a hood fan, a microwave and a refrigerator. The bathroom has a bathtub. It’s pleasantly furnished with antique furniture and paintings. There is a phone to contact the reception of the villa or to make external calls.

The climate is sweet and moderate, with not so cold winters, but hot summers. During this last period, the Coast is destination of thousands of tourists from all over the world coming to enjoy the beauty of the local sceneries. The inhabitants of these places are friendly and very talkative, ready to let you try their way of cooking and homemade gluttonies: handmade pasta, wine, cakes etc. are very important in the village’s saints' feasts which take place from June to September.

    Minimum stay may be flexible considering our availabilities: sometimes it's even possible to stay during peak months for few days.

    We rent our apartments only from Saturday to Saturday, but we suggest to enquire anyway as we may have availability for a different period.

We think our time at Scarpariello was one of the best holidays we ever had.
The villa itself is a nice combination of the very old place with good level of modern comfort. The fact that you have to walk up or down the stairs to get anywhere was actually quite good for all of us, adults and children. One wants to get fit after all the pastas and pizzas! The combination of sea access and a nice swimming pool was also very good. We swam at sea in the evenings and fried ourselves at the edge of the pool during daytime.
And the number of different sites around is just fantastic. I think Ravello was the best, then followed by Amalfi, Positano, Capri.
We always had a very good service at the villa, and even got used to the rather light continental breakfasts. I was told WiFi will now be in the rooms, which will be a further move towards providing all one needs on a holiday.
We would love to come back and would certainly recommend it to our friends. We have already, actually.
