The old farmhouse is detached and hidden in the the lush hills of Emilia.. Fully renovated, its thick stone walls cool in the hot Italian summer and warm in the cold winters. At the rear is a cosy terrace, where you can relax and watch the world go by. There is a large garden, furniture, BBQ grill, and the old forno where you can bake fresh bread-pizza etc. Inside, all facilities. Emilia Romagna. is ideally situated for touring . Venice-Firenze-the lakes-the Riviera, and even Rome, are all within a mornings drive. The old roman Via Emilia links Cities like, Piacenza, Parma, Reggio, Modena, Bologna...etc. All with there own history, cultures, traditions and fine foods and wines. All famous in there own rights. People who stayed at the house, remarked how beautiful and pleasant the area was, with its innumerous medieval castles and market towns. P. Castelletto is a small village near Vernasca and Lugagnano (10 min drive) for small shops etc. It is on the Via Francigena, one of the old pilgrim routes, that where used by people from all over Europe, to get to Rome. The whole area is full of places of interests. Medieval castles, Castell'arquato and Vigoleno, where opera concerts are held, just to name a few. There are many market towns, 1 for every day of the week. There is an abundance of things to do and see. Clients have remarked how beautiful and peaceful, and how friendly the locals were. So come and see for yourself. For lovers of great food this is one of the best areas in Italy to visit, and if you want to learn how to make home made food this is the place to come and learn, cooking classes can be arranged. There are many restaurants, trattorias and pizzerias and the food price/quality is very good.there are very good antique markets and other markets in and around the area nearly every week.

NEW.. for the kids, a new AQUAPARK has opened in the area at Rivergaro .

Ski: Skiing resorts are about two hours drive north in the Italian alps.

Golf: There are 22 championship golf courses in Emilia-Romagna 3 whithin 30min drive ( we are members of the Castell'arquato Golf club ).

All four of our group were amazed by this beautiful farmhouse in the hills near Piacenza!
The house is clean, cozy and very well maintained; the gated grounds exceptionally inviting--with picnic tables, outdoor cooking facilities, and lovely plantings.
The owner, Frank Bragoli, who's completely fluent in English, went out of his way to make us feel at home, and he provided us with useful information about our surroundings.
We enjoyed day trips to Parma, Cremona, Modena, Piacenza, Fidenza, and the nearby Castel-Arquato.
As we were there in September, we saw the harvesting of grapes--the vendemmia--all around the hills of the area.
We all highly recommend this farmhouse to anyone and everyone!!

Comfortable and peaceful

Have recently returned from a week staying in the downstairs apartment with my wife and daughter. The property is very confortable with all the facilities needed. Frank is extremely responsive to any questions and the area is beautiful. Although it takes about 25 minutes to get to the A1, the apartment's position in the hills more than compensates for this. I would defintely recommend staying here.

The house is very nicely situates. It is very quit and peacefully.
The interieur of the house is good. The property was clean, well-maintained and with four you have enough space.
This is also a property you can rent with an other couple with kids, because you can share the garden etc. but you have you own house.
Downstairs is good for 4 people and upstairs you can stay with 6 people.
The only disadvantage is that you need a car for your grossery, because the nearest shops are locates ten minutes drive from the property.
We have enjoyed staying in Castelleto and we might come again.
