Finca la Hijuela is situated in the hills close to Vejer, in a small village, on a ground of over 7000 m². There are four rental houses on the Finca, all surrounded by very old oak trees, and more than 30 orange-lemon-grapefruit trees. We also grow almonds, guavas, olive and figs (among many others). In the centre of the Finca you find a large pool (10 x 5 m). In this colourful mature garden, you have all privacy wanted. You can finally read that book you wanted for so long. You have nothing to read? Than visit Vejer, Conil, Medina Sidonia, Seville, Cadiz, Tarifa, Gibraltar or any other not so famous villa that is near. Enjoy the most beautiful beaches of the Costa de la Luz with more than 15 km of fine sandy beaches. The nearest beach is about 8 km away. Make a trip to Morocco. Several nice restaurants are nearby. This is the perfect place to make out of your holidays some very special days. This is for all those who like the sound of cowbells in the distance and the smell of jasmine.

Casa Tepuana is a very comfortable house for 2/4 P. Large windows, composed as following: (ground floor only), entrance by terrace to large living room with wood burner, a two seated sofa, 2 comfortable seats, TV with satellite and DVD-player, radio-cassette-CD player. A fully equipped kitchen, dining area with four seats, bathroom with shower, toilet and wash basin and in the backside two large bedrooms, each one with two individually beds (90 x 200 cm). Each of the windows gives you a spectacular view at the garden, and the animals in it. All windows are provided with mosquito screens. On the terrace in the shade, while enjoying your meal, you can observe all kinds of birds coming to refresh themselves in the water basins, and enjoy their songs. Note: both the Finca itself as the pool are fenced. The terrace is equipped with a large table and four chairs, just perfect to have your breakfast, or roasted dinner. For enjoying the sun in your garden there are 4 comfortable sun chairs

Finca la Hijuela is the perfect place to combine disconnecting and doing culture.You can find it all within 100 km.!! Ancient Cadiz, Jerez with bodegas and the horse riding school, Seville with its Moorish architecture and Flamenco Tablaos, Tarifa (the ruines of Baelo Claudio), Trafalgar, as also Vejer, and Medina Sidonia are worth a visit. And when temperature keeps rising, there are excellent beaches nearby. More than 15 km of fine sandy beaches, laying just there to be enjoyed by you. Sometimes you can see Morocco. It is easy to do your shopping, on the local fresh-markets and there are enough (super)markets and shopping malls in Conil (10 min.), Vejer (7 min.), and Chiclana. Several good restaurants are nearby, some in real surprising locations. In summer evenings you can assist to the many local ferias. Do not feel like driving, culture, people? In our garden you can submerge yourself in a cool big salt-water pool, (10 x 5 m) and hear the birds sing. Just take a swim and relax.

  • Wood for burner is not inclusive. Bed linen and towels are provided. Final cleaning inclusive. Check in at arrival day: after 16:00 hrs./ Check out; 10:00 hrs.

What a wonderful peaceful week in a warm welcoming atmosphere. Thank you Carin and Carlos for your welcoming and helpful contribution to our holiday in Spain. The finca and the casa Tepuana were so comfortable it was hard to leave when our wonder week came to and end. I have provided the information on your wonderful place to several of of friends telling them that it is a place not to be missed in their travels around the world. Thank you also Carin for sending on the clothing we left behind - if it was not so far I would have found an excuse to return for it myself and stay for a year or two.

Eigentlich kann ich mich den vorhergehenden Kommentaren nur anschliessen. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen, erholsamen Urlaub auf der Finca Hijuela. Es war ruhig, der Garten ist ein Paradies, die Haustiere waren der Hit für die Kinder. Das Häuschen war praktisch und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, der Pool ist superschön und die Gastgeber sehr sympathisch und hilfsbereit. Ganz toll!!

This summer we have had two beautiful weeks in "casa Tepuana". For the third time we have enjoyed our stay at Finca la Hijuela, the green garden,the pool, the animals; in the vicinity Vejer de la Frontera, Cadiz and of course the beach. All elements for a relaxing holiday come together in Tepuana!
We would very much recommend this place to everyone. Indeed a pearl in Andalusia

Third time in Tepuana

We have just returned (with our 4 year and one year old sons) from another wonderful stay at Finca La Hijuela and already miss being there. We love to visit the region for its charming cities (like Vejer and Cádiz), it’s beautiful beaches and the laid back Andalusian way of life. Because it’s so important to choose the right accommodation to spend your vacation, we would like to recommend you casa Tepuana. It’s a beautiful and comfortable house, that’s situated in a lush (and partly private), big garden that invites you to relax and calm down. Our two boys loved to play in it and we enjoyed just being around (and inside) the house. It’s just that there’s something magical about the place that you have to experience yourself.
Furthermore, the owners are lovely and very friendly and there for you if needed.
So if you intent to come and visit this part of Spain, you should come and discover Finca la Hijuela!

a peaceful stay in a green oasis

We spent a week in Casa Tepuana in july 2008 withe our 2 daughters (10 and 12). After a week travelling through Spain and visiting greta cities such as Madrid, Cordoba an Sevilla, we were all looking forward to spend a week resting in a quite place with a pool. We had a great time in the Finca. We loved the green gardens, the pool, the plants and the animals. The house is authentic, clean and well equiped. We enjoyed the visits around, Tarifa and the beaches, the great city of Cadiz and the nights in Vejer.
We appreciated a lot the discretion of the owners or the neighbours. Our daughters loved the pool and the animals especially Toto y Choco !
Thnak you to Carin, Carlos and the girls for their warm welcome and hoping that our comments we'll bring you some more French travellers !
