From the over-sized, breezy deck, enter into a breathtaking foyer with beautiful antiques including a Victorian organ, secretary desk, china cabinet and Victorian hall tree. The spectacular oak staircase leads to the seven beautiful bedrooms on the upper floors. Entertain in the elegant antique furnished living room with ocean views, two sofas, two arm chairs and a lovely antique fireplace with an electric insert. Enjoy cocktails at the rich mahogany bar with the ambiance of a European tavern. The bar area features a 27” hdtv with cable and seats 7: 6 at the bar, plus a Queen Ann arm chair. The adjacent family room has 42” hdtv, a sofa and two arm chairs, adjacent to a full bath. The over-sized kitchen has Corian counters, lots of cabinets, a glass-top stove, refrigerator/freezer, built-in microwave & a Miele dishwasher. The hand-crafted kitchen table seats 14 and is terrific for meals, playing games (we have dozens), or watching tv on a 32” hdtv with cable.
The gorgeous bedrooms in our home are furnished as you would find in an upscale bed & breakfast, providing the perfect place for rest & relaxation at the end of a busy day! The bedrooms are all on the second and third floors of the home, away from the living areas, providing a quiet respite if desired! All bedrooms have HDTVs & dvd players. We repainted and redecorated five of the 7 bedrooms for the 2013 season, and all are lovely.
The 2nd floor has 4 gorgeous bedrooms all with beautiful antique dressers & quaint 'tooth-brushing' sinks. Memories has a queen bed overlooking the ocean, a highboy, a small closet, and a great seating area with 2 wingback chairs. Serenity has a new queen bed, an antique highboy, and two chairs. Tranquility has a double bed, antique highboy, and an armchair. Dreamscapes has a pyramid bunk (double on bottom, single on top), an antique dresser, and an enclosed laundry nook. The charming, updated full bath has gorgeous pine wainscoting & an antique 'Second Class' cruise-liner medicine cabinet as a former owner was a ship captain!
The 3rd floor has 3 more bedrooms. Americana is decorated in a patriotic theme with a set of bunk beds, a queen bed, antique dressers, an Xbox, games & videos. Harmony has two double beds, a hand-painted Renoir dresser & a large closet. Romance, the luxurious master suite has a queen bed, stained glass ceiling fan, lovely antique dressers, a comfortable wingback chair, & breathtaking views of the ocean. Imagine waking up to a spectacular view of the ocean every morning! The fabulous master bath has a beautiful new tiled shower & an over-sized jacuzzi - perfect for two!
If renting our adjacent units, you may enjoy our fully enclosed courtyard, reminiscent of a French Café, with seating for 40 at freshly painted white wrought iron tables & chairs with lots of pretty flowers, beautiful hanging baskets, & hundreds of tiny white lights. This space is a favorite among guests for family reunions & celebrations for up to 40 people. The courtyard is available only with rental of the entire property (3 units), or with the lower level condos, as the 7 BR main house has a private, wrap around deck with seating for 20, terrific ocean breezes & great ocean views.
ADDITIONAL UNITS: Both of our lower units have been entirely renovated following Hurricane Sandy. We hired a professional restoration company, so there are absolutely no issues with mold or dampness.
Condo A is an absolutely beautiful, newly renovated 4 BR, 1.5 bath “handicap friendly” condo that sleeps 12. The full bath has a roll-in shower with grab bars, the new kitchen boasts all new stainless steel appliances, hickory cabinets, granite counters & a new tile floor. The tavern style dining room is our favorite room in the house with 2 partially exposed brick walls, an antique ball & claw foot oak table, 8 chairs & an antique sideboard. Resembling a European tavern, this room is great for family meals, or playing one of the many card or board games provided for your enjoyment. The family room and all bedrooms have been COMPLETELY renovated following Hurricane Sandy. The terrific family room has partially exposed brick walls, a sectional sofa, 42” HDTV, dvd, cable, Xbox, many games & books. Bedroom A has a queen bed, B has a queen bed, C has two sets of bunks (single over double futon and double over double), and D has a set of twin bunks. The condo features central air, recessed lighting, new solid wood doors, and new floors.
Condo B is a 3 BR, 2 bath unit that sleeps 9 with 2 HDTVs (27 & 32 inch), Play Station II & many games. This condo was also renovated following Hurricane Sandy with a new kitchen featuring maple cabinets, granite counters and new appliances. Each of the three bedrooms has a queen size bed, and the third bedroom also has a pyramid bunk (single over double).
All units have WIFI, air conditioning, beach tags & 2 parking spaces. WEEKLY RATES FOR THE CONDOS are $2700 or less. The entire property sleeps up to 40 guests. Summer weeks for all 3 units (14 bedrooms, sleeps 40) are $9,500 to $12,500 per week. Off-season weekends for the entire property begin at $2400 per weekend or $6000 per week. A maximum of 40 guests is permitted for celebrations & special events.
We are located at 815 5th Street, across from the OC High School. In our 9 years as owners, we have hosted numerous family reunions, weddings, civil unions, birthday parties, anniversary celebrations & many friends’, couples’ & girls’ weekends, retreats, leadership and youth group events. Our guests are always delighted with the condition of our home, the furnishings, & the many extras we provide. While you might find other large homes in Ocean City, not one comes close to ours. We take great pride in maintaining our gorgeous home in the Victorian style while providing our guests with modern amenities. The Main House Includes 10 beach tags, a gas grill, 2 parking spaces & 2 fully enclosed `outside` showers. Enjoy our 2.5 Mile Boardwalk (completely in tact following Hurricane Sandy), Surfing Beach, Amusement Piers, Water Park, Mini-Golf, Tennis, Basketball, Shuffleboard, Fishing Pier, dozens of restaurants & hundreds of shops. At the bay, you will find many more activities: fishing excursions, a pirate ship, dolphin watching, & water sports including jet skiing, boating, fishing & para-sailing.
