LUXURY GERMAN BUILT VILLA, SUPERB LOCATION CLOSE TO BEACH/ MARINA/RESTAURANTS

We have stayed at Villa Alcara twice in the last six months; we have nothing but praise for this property. It is very well equiped to the highest standard and specification, and oozes quality, but delivers amazing comfort.

There is so much space, inside and out - the beauty of the property is you can take the inside out, and when the weather is not as kind there is the games room (pool and table tennis), TVs in most rooms, and a great music system - with plenty of space to relax!!

The heated swimming pool is fab, and in very hot weather is a welcome relief. The terrace area around the pool gets sun all day long, and the outside table and chairs serves for breakfasts in the morning sun, lunches in the heat of the afternoon; and dinner and supper in the Algarve evenings. There is a gas barbecue, that is so easy to use................but it is hard not to use the kitchen. The kitchen is brilliant, and makes it easy to want to stay in and cook - it has all mod cons (a new coffee machine for 2012!!), and is so spacious that the old saying "Too many cooks!" does not apply.

The cleanliness/maintenance is top drawer, and the owner has high standards, and her management team are so helpful. They spend so much time explaining about the villa and the Lagos area - but there is some very good information in the villa re restaurants, shops etc.

The location of the villa is perfect, it is a short walk to the wonderful Lagos marina (5 minutes), with a further 5 minutes to the centre of Lagos. The villa is not overlooked and the area is so peaceful, that you will find it difficult to leave the villa.

There are some excellent restaurants on the marina, and as you would expect in a fishing town there are many fantastic fish restaurants in the centre of Lagos. The supermarket "Pingo Doce" is literally a five minute walk, two minute drive from the villa, and is stocked with fresh fruit and veg, amazing fish and meat counters and of course copious supplies of wine.

We had an amazing time in Villa Alcara, the villa is so relaxing, spacious and comfortable, you will quickly feel at home here. The owner is very good to deal with, and is keen to ensure everything delivers premium quality for her guests. You will adore the property...........

The size of the villa makes it a very versatile property, it could be used for a big family holiday, for a girlie get together, a romantic break for couples or tourists who want a base to explore the Algarve.

Just got back from our week in Lagos staying at your wonderful villa. I have nothing but praise; the holiday in every aspect was splendid. I realise you have no influence on the weather but even that was fab for the time of year! Location, views, privacy and spotless presentation, it’s got it all.

You were so kind to leave all the information about which restaurants are in the ascendency and which might better be avoided. I’m pleased to report they all ‘came up trumps’. Your descriptions accurately matched each establishment, the most surprising being the Bom Pecado fish restaurant just 3 minutes walk away....utterly wonderful....fresh fish....value for money....atmosphere... and most importantly, one we would have MISSED if we hadn’t been given the ‘knowledge’.

The villa was immaculate. We spent hours looking at different options but something about the pictures on your website made us feel the property was under the stewardship of somebody who likes to do things properly. And so it turned out. I wish I could think of some imperfection to so that my review is more ‘believable’....but even my wife(!) couldn’t pick fault with anything (and we are breaking new ground here).

So, all in all, thank you for everything. Our holiday was transformed into a ‘week never to be forgotten’ thanks to all the personal touches that set you holiday home apart from the myriads of others. We are so glad we found you! I give you 5 Stars because there aren’t 6!

There is one downside. I’ve been instructed that we’re having the kitchen refitted and a new bathroom at home. She was quite happy before she saw yours!
