A Lovely Place to Hide Away

This is a beautiful place to spend a restful holiday. It has real character and is comfortable and comes complete with everything you need (although it could do with a kettle - for those of us who like a cup of tea!). The stairs inside are too steep for toddlers, although you can easily use the outside steps. The views from the veranda are breathtaking and it is wonderful to have breakfast and dinner while watching the ships on the bay below. On our holiday, we mainly drove down the hill from the villa and parked at the bottom, then walked along to Tellaro to swim and snorkel. The hill is very steep, so our two girls (7 and 10) found it too hard to walk (so did we!). Tellaro was our favourite village (great gelato), although we also loved going up to La Sera, which has some super small food shops (delicious figs). We also took the ferry along to Lerici, which was a lovely way to travel. If you like sea food, try the restaurant through the tunnel under Lerici castle. All in all, a very special place - made even better, by the warm welcome we got from Caterina.
