Spacious ground floor self-contained luxury apartment in pretty Spanish style villa set in mature gardens situated in a quiet location 10mins walk to the local bay of Cala Advocaat.The apartment has been furnished to a high standard & offers a large comfortable lounge with 4 seater settee, 2 armchairs, occasional tables, colour satellite tv, video with a selection of video tapes,dvd, cd/radio. American style fitted kitchen consisting of modern units, elec hob, elec oven/grill, oven hob extractor fan unit, microwave, fridge, washing machine, dining table & chairs.The bedroom is light and bright with double bed, fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers. There is an en-suite shower room fully tiled with large shower, WC, basin unit, extractor fan.The lounge & bedroom windows are fitted with vertical blinds. All rooms have views to the mature gardens.There is a private front entrance & parking for one car.The apartment garden has two seating areas with tables, chairs & parasol.

Beaches, Restaurants, Bars, Cafes: There are several picturesque bays within easy reach via the coastal road between Calpe and Moraira, Cala Abogat, Baladrar, Pinets, La Fustera, Cala Pinets, Les Bassetes, La Llobella and a variety of restaurants, bars and cafes. The location of the property is ideal for walking to either rural or sea areas benefiting from the beautiful pine trees surrounding the area.

Sightseeing: Places of interest include the village of Guadalest with its fortress and wonderful views. Mundomar animal water park, Terra Mitica theme park, Aqualandia water park. The markets of Benissa, Moraira, Javea, Calpe with many stalls selling local crafts, jewellery etc. All are within a short driving distance. Valencia airport and city are approximately 1hr 30min away and can be easily reach via the motorway AP-/E-15 from the Benissa/Teulada motorway junction Exit 63.

Transport/ Car Hire: If required an arrangement can be made for pickup and return to Alicante airport price on request. Car hire is available locally if required.

A delightful stay in a very pretty part of Spain. Very convenient for both Moraira and Calpe. Can recommend a small restaurant (El Refugio) just off the port area in Moraira. Ein toller, entstpannter und romantsischer Urlaub

Der Urlaub bei Sylvia und Bill war wunderschön. Eine sehr schöne Wohnung mit allem was man braucht. Es war sehr ruhig und die Gegend ist wunderschön gelegen.
Zum Strand kann man zu Fuß, ein Auto ist aber ideal. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und die Vermieter Bill und Sylvia sehr nett und angenehm. Sie hatten immer ein offenes Ohr, waren aber nie aufdringlich. Es gibt gute Restaurants in der Umgebung und der Küstenabschnitt ist wunderschön. Silvia und Bill haben uns eine kleine Auswahl an Lebensmittel und eine Flasche Wein /Wasser zur Verfügung gestellt. Sehr zuvorkommend. Ein super Urlaub für zwei.

Lovely apartment

We stayed at Sylvia ans Bill's apartment with our grown up son whilst house hunting, first impressions when you walk through the door is WOW, it is super super clean, I mean really spotless!, lovely comfortable/convenient base for us whilst we researched the area, Sylvia and Bill are very welcoming and friendly, and their garden is so pretty.
The apartment is very easy to find and nicely situated to explore the surrounding areas, lovely quiet spot, I cannot recommend this apartment highly enough! Thanks again to you both,

As soon as I walked in to the apartment I could see straight away how much Sylvia and Bill look after the place - it was absolutely spotless, fresh and clean. I instantly felt like this was a home for a me for the time I was there and Sylvia made me feel so welcome.

The little touches to the apartment made the big difference for me - the kitchen is fully equipped with everything I could possibly want and I was nicely surprised that the cupboard was stocked with salt and pepper, herbs, tea bags, rice etc to get me started before I went to the shops. This was particularly important for me when I arrived because it was New Year's Day so all the shops were closed! Sylvia was so nice, she even brought me milk and margarine to tide me over for the day. Oooh, and a bottle of wine - that was lovely! The bathroom too was stocked with a few essentials - shower gel, shampoo and even pocket tissues! I didn't expect that..

I parked my car in the driveway everyday which was great and again made me feel like I was driving back to my own home - this does make a big difference when you are away.

I know the area well due to friends living over there (which was the purpose of my trip) so a couple of tips for travellers:

*you do need a car here but if you choose not to, you can easily get a taxi to anywhere you need to go. I did see a few buses whilst I was there but I must admit, they seemed few and far between.

*there are beautiful beaches and coves that you should visit - from the apartment you don't even need to use your car, just walk towards the sea and you will find lots of these lovely little places.

*walking down to Moraira is a lovely walk but for those who are not used to walking, I would suggest the car - there are lots of hills! I loved walking around there every day. The views are stunning.

*Pepe La Sal supermarket is probably the most expensive of the supermarkets in the area however it does stock some nice things and you can tell the difference at the deli counter. You can opt for Mercadona in Benissa instead or Mas Y Mas near Pepe La Sal.

*The Chinese down the road called "Happy Garden" is amazing and you have to try the crispy duck. I haven't tasted any Chinese better than that in my 37 years!

I loved being here and I really hope I will be able to come back soon. Sylvia and Bill have made this place fabulous for those who are coming for a restful, peaceful, beautiful place to stay.

Owner's Response: Knowing our guests settle into the apartment and feel at home is what we try to maintain whether it is for a short or long stay, arriving on a public holiday can be a problem for visiting supermarkets so we always have enough supplies to see them over until the next day. Little haven in the sun

This little cozy, cute apartment was everything l was looking for.Peace and quiet to get a good night's sleep but very clean and has everything you need for a long stay. Sylvia is an absolute star of a host and stays out your way if need be or there is you have any problems or just want a chat. As l was travelling alone the chat was nice and the apartment is very secure that the security of being on my own never was a issue here. Sylvia has covered all your needs to washing machine to cotton buds.This place l would say is the best place to stay in Benissa if you want peace and quiet but everything is near enough to visit. I don't have one bad word to say about the owner,location or the apartment. My stay here was 10 out of 10 and was very sad to leave but hope l can return in the near future for my house hunting and have a chat with the ever cheery Sylvia and hopefully next time meet Bill as he was ill with the cold. I am sad to say l would recommend the place to everyone as l would like to keep " My little Haven in the Sun" all to myself but it's too good a place that you just want to brag about it.

And you both will be seeing me again in the near future so take care for now.

Lovely apartment in beautiful area

We spent a whole month in this lovely apartment from 3 Nov. 3012 and are definitely planning to return. The apartment was very comfortable and clean. It was well-equipped and the good kitchen facilities enabled us to self-cater successfully.The washing machine and iron were a boon, bearing in mind the length of our stay.

Sylvia gave us a very warm welcome despite the fact that it was well after midnight on the day of arrival. She also provided a welcome pack so that we could have breakfast the next day before shopping. The apartment was warm and cosy and electric radiators were supplied which we only used towards the end of our stay when it was cooler in the early mornings and evenings. There was a constant hot water and a generous supply of towels and bedding which were changed weekly. The UK TV service (with more channels than UK Freeview) and internet access were both very welcome on such a long-term let and were both much used.

The apartment has a beautiful garden and is in a stunning area of the Northern Costa Blanca roughly equidistant from Moraira and Calpe on Benissa Costa. There are numerous places to visit in the area without driving long distances and inland we would particularly recommend Polop, Guadalest, Orba and Jalon. The flea market in Jalon on a Saturday morning is well worth visiting for the buzz, even if you are not interested in purchasing anything. There is also free wine tasting at the bodega opposite. There are numerous good restaurants around where you can eat a three course meal including half a bottle of wine each from 8 Euros upward.

There are numerous supermarkets within close driving distance (a car is essential for this apartment) including Mercadona, Lidl, Aldi. Mas Y Mas and Consum, so self-catering is cheap and easy.

The car hire with Record was particularly cheap at £6.30 per day (pre-booked online through Autoeurope) - but potential clients beware. They will exert an enormous amount of pressure on you to take the additional insurance on offer. I would go so far as to say that the rep at the Alicante Airport office tried to bully/ scare us and actually lied to try and get us to take the extra insurance which we resisted, but it was not a pleasant experience and delayed us by a good 30 minutes! A complaint is about to be made to Autoeurope.

In summary, I would have no hesitation in recommending this apartment and the warmth and hospitality of the owners.

The apartment in Buena Vista is approximately 10 minutes walk to the nearest beach.There is a beach bar providing drinks and a good choice of food which opens around June to Sept and on certain evenings entertainment by local Spanish promote a friendly atmosphere. Located a short distance on the coast road to Moraira are restaurants, bars,supermarkets,shops,fitness gym and a bank. There are a wide variety of bars and restaurants in nearby Moraira 5mins drive and Calpe 10mins drive. The local markets of Benissa (Sat) Moraira (Fri) and Calpe (Sat) are available to enjoy .Places of interest include the Penon d' Ifach in Calpe, the Terra Mitica theme park, Mundomar the dolphin and animal water park, the historic village of Guadalest the old town areas of Benissa, Teulada, Javea, and Calpe. Benidorm is 30mins away for shopping at La Marina complex. Panoramic views of Moraira, Benissa and Calpe from the inner mountain road to Benissa town.
