The Gite is 20 km South from Nantes, a welcoming town where you can visit the Castle of the Ducs de Bretagne. The immediate surroundings allow discovering the observatory of the Grand Lieu Lake and its fishing house, natural bird sanctuary, and also the Abbey of Saint Philbert. It has been built on the 9th Century in order to protect the relics of Saint Philbert from profanations of the Vikings. The village welcomes fishermen on the Boulogne River, the small and large ponds and at the aquatic centre. It offers a large opportunity of hiking and mountain biking paths. Going east, the scenic road of the Nantais vineyards will welcome you for tasting. Going West, you will find the Britain marshland salt marsh of the Bay of Bourgneuf, oyster farmers and the beaches of the South of the Loire and the Vendée. Finally, many medieval and regional festivals take place during spring and summer. The Puy du Fou show is 1 hour from the Gite.
