Our Labor Day week vacation

I had admired this house for years but never rented it because it didn't have a pool and hot tub. The new owners took care of that problem in 2008 so we rented for the Labor Day week. We loved the unique floor plan of the house, especially the bedrooms. They are spread out for plenty of privacy. Two of the four bedrooms were more kid friendly than adult friendly. I would suggest making one of them into an adult room since the other had two sets of duo bunks. We had no children so two male adults used the two kids rooms which were a little cramped! LOL The pool was great! We loved the salt water because it didn't hurt our eyes. The hot tub was nice too. My only concern was the fact that you had to be very careful getting out because the deck coating was very slippery when wet. My son found out the hard way and ended up flat on his back. It was also very hot during the day. We had a couple of maintainence issues that were taken care of right away, a torn screen door on the master bedroom deck and some burned out lights. Parking was very tight for our four vehicles. There is one space under the house where we parked our least used vehicle and did some creative parking with the other three. The view of the sound is great and the neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. We even saw deer early in the morning right beside the house. We enjoyed the gas grill almost every night. We don't eat out alot when we vacation, usually just the night we arrive and the morning we leave. We ate at the Jolly Roger on the beach road for dinner. The food was pretty good but pricey. We always hit Bob's Grill for breakfast on the morning we leave. Good food and plenty of it! Don't order the pancakes unless you're starving or plan to share because they are huge!!! Anyway, I would definitely recommend the house to anyone, it was very nice. I hope to go back in 2009.
