The wonderful view of the lake, the marina, and the beautifully maintained grounds at the Landings helped us choose this condo.
The condo provides the opportunity to truly relax. You can enjoy active or passive activities, depending on your mood. Having everything within walking distance allows you to enjoy a stress free, leisurely vacation.
What a fantastic weekend in Northern Michigan!! Family and friends gathered in this beautiful 2 bedroom condo for a quick, easy weekend getaway of skiing and socializing; all of which was made easier because of this lovely condo. The unit was easy to find and accessibility wasn't an issue, despite mother nature's efforts to make it a challenge. The Landings lawn and maintenance staff were clearing driveways and sidewalks early and late to insure we as visitors didn't have to. Although snow covered the grounds and the lake were a joy to look at through the lovely full size 1st floor slider that was just as the owners had described. The condo itself was immaculate with any supplies you could imagine needing when on vacation. I found the kitchen to be easy to use and fully stocked with any item you could imagine needing whether eating prepackaged snacky food or desiring to prepare a full course meal.
My daughter and her friend enjoyed having space of their own to watch TV as well as finding the 2nd bedroom a perfect size for them to call their own home away from home for the weekend. Our group found the variety of games that were available to play to be a hoot and just what the doctor ordered after a long day of skiing.
Staying in Boyne City was an ideal choice for us knowing that our weekend plans included skiing at Boyne Mountain because of the ease of getting to and from and staying in this condo unit offered us a beautiful, individualized cozy place to call home for the weekend.
I would recommend this unit to anyone that has plans to visit Boyne City /Northern Michigan, no matter what the season because of its comfortable, home like feel, the ease of working with the owners, the cleanliness of the unit and its location.
We couldn’t have found a better place to stay. My husband, me and 4 other family members stayed here the week after Labor Day and the weather was delightful. The location was perfect: ground floor, end unit with a beautiful view of Lake Charlevoix. Everything about the unit was as stated and as the photos depicted. Very clean, well maintained and with a kitchen well-stocked with all your cooking needs.
The location is also great because you are within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants in this cute town of Boyne City. Also, within about a 20 minute drive you can visit the quaint towns of Lake Charlevoix, Harbor Springs, and Petoskey. (For you book lovers, Ernest Hemmingway’s family owned a summer home called Windemere on Walloon Lake, near Petoskey, Michigan, where as a four-year-old he learned from his father to hunt, fish, and camp in the woods and lakes of Northern Michigan).
I grew up in southern Michigan so am familiar with the northern part of the state. As a matter of fact, Boyne Mountain is where I first learned to ski so the area holds a lot of fond memories. Most definitely we will stay at this condo again. The perfect get-away for a relaxing vacation.
This summer, I was looking for a quiet getaway on the lake and came across this property, what a gem! I couldn't have asked for a more lovely spot to vacation. I will was incredibly happy with my selection and will definitely return. The owners were wonderful. They were very easy to work with, organized, timely with responses and the unit was spotless. The property looks exactly as it appears, with a striking view of the lake, a quiet patio for a glass of wine and great spot to relax and enjoy a beautiful sunset. There was also a pool and small beach, perfect for the kids. I look forward to my next trip to Northern Michigan and will definitely book this property.
The Landings in Boyne City is one of our favorite places to stay in northern Michigan. It's just a 5-10 minute walk downtown to the park, boat launch and all the delicious local restaurants. We made good use of the lake and the pool even though the weather was not perfect. The pool is kept nicely heated so even on the cooler days of summer, it's still welcoming.
The two bedroom condo looks to have been recently remodeled. Everything was just like you'd want. My son slept on the sofa bed and was not uncomfortable at any point. The two bathrooms were very clean and nicely appointed. I will happily rent this unit again and I always appreciate a first floor unit that gives you easy access to the lake side. We ended up sleeping 6 people very comfortably.
We did hiking in Young State Park (5 minutes away) and on the North Country Trail (20 minutes) which were both very close. It's very easy to rent a kayak or paddleboard nearby. Boyne City is close to Petoskey, Charlevoix and Harbor Springs (visit Gurney's for an amazing deli sandwich followed by a Tom's mom's cookie- you won't regret it) for day trips without dealing with all the traffic that those cities have. In winter, this is a great location to use as a base for ski trips.
You would be hard-pressed to find a better view in Northern Michigan. We've been going to The Landings in Boyne City for over 35 years. We'll happily rent this condo again. Also, the owner was extremely accommodating of our last minute reservations and very easy to talk to.
The Landings at Boyne City is on Lake Charlevoix and features summer swimming and boating. Boyne Highlands and Nubs Nob are also nearby as well as opportunities for cross country skiing, snowshoeing and snow mobiling. Odawa Casino and Avalanche Bay Water Park provide year around entertainment. It is only a short drive to Charlevoix, Petoskey and Harbor Springs for additional dining and shopping opportunities.
