Apartment in central, elegant area

My two cousins from Liguria joined my husband and I at Donatella's apartment. Donatella switched us to a larger one bedroom and it was just perfect. The apartment is very clean, well laid out, perfect in everyway. It was in a very safe neighborhood and close to a very short bus ride into the center of Palermo. The people of Palermo are the most helpful and very warm. We felt very safe wherever we went and people helped with directions whenever we asked. The mosaics and art in Palermo is well worth the visit. We took the CAFU bus which is located near the main train station NOT with the other buses, but out front near a bar one block from the train station. We took the bus to Agrigento, the Greek Temples- best preserved in the world, 2 hours, and it was just perfect. We did not have a car and managed just fine. Donatella is a great asset...very warm and helpful in every way. The weather in October is fantastic and Mondello is well worth a bus ride to visit.
