The house is set on a hill overlooking the countryside, local vineyards and the historic Rennee Le Chateaux. (The original 'Da Vinci Code' and 'Holy Grail' inspiration). Within walking distance of the picturesque riverside village of Esperaza and serviced by 3 cheap flight airports this is the perfect location for a holiday in the sun. The house offers a home from home feel with everything you will need for a relaxing family holiday: 2 acres of garden; Decked and fenced pool area to enjoy the sun (pool open May - Sept); Shady patio area with a barbeque, pizza oven and well placed hammock. The house is elegantly furnished with 2 double bedrooms with en-suites; 2 twin rooms with a separate bathroom; Large living room; Fully fitted kitchen; Games room with a pool table, table football, darts; TV and video with a video and book library; Laundry facilities (all linen and towels provided); Cot, high chair, baby bath, steriliser, single bed guard and a selection of children’s toy.

The house is a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk from the local village of ESPERAZA which boasts the best market in the area on a Sunday. The village has all of the essential shops, supermarkets and restaurants. Most of the other neighbouring villages also have rival restaurants offering traditional french cuisine. One of the best vineyards in the area is also a 5 minute drive. RENEE LE CHATEAUX which is viewed from the house and decking is a 15 minute drive and you can join the other visitors to view the bizarre church and hunt for the holy grail! LIMOUX is the nearest town (20 minute drive) and has a bigger selection of shops and restaurants as well as being the home of the famous Blanquette de Limoux - a great sparkling wine. CARCASSONNE is the main tourist attraction with a walled medieval city brimming with history and a new town with bustling shops and restaurants. The Mediterranean sea is an hour away and Pyrenees skiing resorts 45 minutes - both with scenic route.

Notes: There is a double bedroom downstairs with en-suite facilities therefore making accessibility easier for the less able. However the main living space internally is up-stairs. Large Games room with a pool table, table football, darts, family board games and a sofa area to view a wide selection of video's. We also have a DVD player and a small selection of DVD's. The outside pool is open between May and September and is 8 metres by 4 metres. It is particularly safe for children with wide steps at one end.

the house is perfect and lacks virtually nothing. It is suitable for young and old - if you yearn for a quiet holiday in the countryside this is the place for you. I've been in october with my family and friends so I cannot tell you about the pool area - but the rest was impressive!! the neighbouring town is very small and quaint and the people are fantastic,well-mannered and humble. I recommend this place without hesitation!
