Disappointment

We wondered why there was only a picture of a bed in the advert, the agent told us it was because the pool was being repaired, not true, the pool can not be seen from the road, all you see is a garage. The house is semi-detached and very close to its neighbours in a street where all the houses are exactly the same. Not attractive. The interior is certainly very clean, but sterile, like living in a furniture showroom with nothing for the visitor, i.e. no wastepaper baskets, no TV in the bedroom, not enough cooking bowls(none) no books, no games, no local information re. amenities like shops, restaurants etc.. Neither was the pool heated , we ordered and paid for a heated pool, despite numerous requests. While the the agent dealt with the first two, with reluctance, when we asked where the nearest supermarket was,she told us to look in the phonebook. The house we stayed in the week previously had everything for the visitors pleasure and comfort including a detailed description of all amenities, with personal recommendations of restaurants,favourite trips etc. The agent said this was a dicrepancy on the owners part, we did not agree, the agency should have told the owners this would have been a requirement. We were booked in this house for five weeks,we left after ten days, forfeited our money and moved to another house. All in all this was a very disappointing experience, mainly due to lack of support from the agent, it was a large agency , mainly dealing with real estate and obviously beneath its dignity dealing with holiday makers. We felt too, that the owner was getting a raw deal, as they were certainly not getting the help and support so essential for customer satisfaction. We would not recommend this property and will not return.
