The holiday cottage : charming typical bright and roomy house, entirely renovated, for six people (100 sqm). As you open the shutters you'll gaze out over the mountain and swallows in rising sunshine. Before going out, the whole family can easily have breakfast in the large bright kitchen, as well as in the dining-room. You may have your lunch in the 650 sqm garden or under the barn, your dinner in the little courtyard with garden furniture and BBQ. The evening you can play games in the dining room while other people in the living-room look at TV or DVD player, or read... Electric heater in every room. The wood stove (wood included) diffuses a nice atmosphere all over the home. Lime-painted walls and friezes have been restored with care. There is a private garage. From here you can Mountain bike and walk everywhere around: there are many hiking trails and paths (marked or not) from the holiday cottage. Go birdwatching in thematic walks with the LPO (Bird Protection League)at Lavoute.

The area : Les Gorges de l'Allier in Auvergne (Haute-Loire) ; 500 km from Paris, 100 km south of the city of Clermont-Ferrand, 2 hours and a half from Rodez (Ryan Air provides a service Stansted-Rodez), 50 km from Le Puy en Velay, 14 km from Langeac (Railway station). Activities : walking, mountain biking, cycling, boating, practising ornithology, trout fishing, canoeing and down-river on the Allier in Chilhac (nautical base of Chilhac 7 km) along superb gorges with basaltic organ rock formations , and likewise in Le Chambon (7km). In Lavoute-Chilhac, surrounded by a superb Allier meander, you will find any shop and gastronomic specialty. This old Auvergne country is scattered by innumerables monastic sites and romanesque churches with mythical names : Lavaudieu, Brioude, Lavoute Chilhac, La Chaise-Dieu and its famous music festival. In Arlet : the XIIth century church with beautiful belfry, with its romanesque polychrome wooden statue of Lord Jesus on the cross.

    After booking by phone or mail, we send you a rental contract that you must send back to us within 8 days with a 25 percent booking deposit cheque. Total amount or balance is to be paid one month before beginning of the rental week. Service charges included : butane gas included (for cooking and water-heating), Heating (electric heater in each room) is included in electricity bill up to 56 kwh per week ; from october to april fixed price for electricity : 30 euros ; Xmas and February : heating is free! wood stove : wood included; hire of bed linen included. The rates are for a week and the maximum number of persons allowed. If you come for more than a week contact us so that we may adapt the total amount of your stay. File expenses :13 euro. Optional charge : home cleaning at the end of stay : 35 euro. When you arrive you give a deposit of 240 euro (for damages and detailed phone bill) that we give you back when you leave. Tourist tax 0,70 per day for each people above 13 year old.

The third one has a 140 centimetres bed and looks towards west. It is illuminated in the afternoon and at sunset. Bed linen provided.
