The location of this apartment is excellent for walking or catching public transportation (right outside the building is a bus stop) to the historic district of Rome. The description of the property, layout, facilities and pictures are representative of the apartment.
This apartment is very clean and well-maintained.
Paola and Nicolo are gracious and welcoming property owners. They greeted us upon arrival at the apartment and showed us around to familiarize us with all the amenities. They were also gracious in arranging for our airport shuttle pick-up (which in my opinion was above and beyond their responsibilities)
Paulo also provided a lovely picnic lunch for our arrival (again - very appreciated, but not to be expected)
I would definitely recommend this property to friends or family.
There are local restaurants close by, as well as markets for stocking the kitchen and an internet cafe on the same block as the apartment building. The Vatican Museum is a 20 minutes walk from the apartment and St. Peter's Basilica is only a 10 minutes walk.
This is a great value for a memorable experience in Rome.
The flat is perfectly located for the Vatican and right by the Tiber. It's stylish, private, safe, well equipped, and Nicolo was the perfect host down to the food and wine he left in the fridge for our arrival. Public transport connections are not great but we were more than happy to walk everywhere. None of the major sights are far away and as a bonus we discovered the lovely residential area of Trastavere and the stylish Prato, which neither of us knew before. A real bonus of this flat is the little single bedroom which makes it perfect for a couple with a child or baby. Oh and there is a late-night mini-market literally on the doorstep. We can't wait to go back.
This apartment was a terrific place to stay in Rome. It is walking distance to Trastevere, Vatican, and the other sights. You can walk to the Colosseum, but if you'd rather save your legs, the buses 1 block away run at 3-7 minute increments most hours, with service to downtown Rome and Termini.
The apartment itself was spacious for 2 or 3 people. It has great morning light and terrific views across the river and of Castle St. Angelo. The neighborhood is safe. It is a bit loud with sirens and traffic, so I'd recommend earplugs if you're a light sleeper.
Nicolo, the host, was very accommodating. He met us in the unit despite our delayed flight and our inability to contact him. He was very responsive to our communication when we had questions. He let us borrow an old local cell phone & was even able to store luggage while we made a side trip.
My son and myself stayed in Nicolo's apartment for two weeks in August. Nicolo is a very kind and gracious host, arranged for transport from airport and provided food for breakfast and a bottle of wine, which is a very nice gesture of welcome. The apartment is spacious and comfortable with air conditioning, and the location is very convenient, a short walk to St Peters, Castle St-Angelo, Piazza Navona and other sights.
It was the first time that we use Homeaway, and we feel very lucky to have met Nicolo who is so kind and considerate, helping to make our stay in Rome a great experience. Thank you Nicolo!

My family of 5 stayed here for 8 days. Nicolo was so helpful with all the questions we had before we came and after we arrived. He was very accommodating. He met us at the apartment and went over everything we needed to know. He provided complimentary food to get us started so we did not have to run out to get food right away. We really appreciated it. He arranged for a driver to take us to the airport when we left. It was much cheaper than an ordinary taxi. The apartment was exactly what it seemed on the internet. It was very clean. It is in a building that has lots of history to it. It is a great location. I have been to Rome before and found this location perfect for getting anywhere. You can walk most places but if you are short on time or tired there are bus stops right in front and close by to get any route that you need. I would highly recommend this apartment to family and friends. I intend to be back in Italy soon and I will stay here again when I am in Rome. Thanks so much Nicolo.
The location is extremely central and close to many historical landmarks that can be easily reached. The bus stop is right at your doorstep. Our apartment is located at 200mt from the Vatican City, Saint Peter’s Square and Basilica. The apartment is also walking distance to Via Giulia , Farnese Square , Campo de Fiori and Navona Square. There are also plenty of casual and fine-dining restaurants, take away restaurant and pizza on the door step, plus a couple of supermarkets if you choose to cook. Piazza Della Rovere is one of the most expensive area in central Rome, Zone 1, in which to buy a property, due to the location, beauty and amenities available. It is also one of the safest areas in Rome in which one can easily walk around even late at night and feel totally safe. You'll find this flat the ideal base from which to explore Rome!
