THE HOUSE:
Enjoy the relaxing comfort of this stylish, updated vacation home. Completely gutted and re-designed by famed local architect, John Hurst.
Designed for ease of living at every turn...beautiful kitchen, baths, appliances, carpeting, paint, cabinetry, furniture, grill, huge deck, outdoor furniture and much more.
Three (3) bedrooms on main level plus (2) two newly remodeled lower level bedrooms with full daylight windows. (Q, K, F plus 2 optional twin fold-out beds on main (for small children), 2Q in lower level) We easily sleep 10 in beds. The large living room is fully furnished with TV/VCR/DVD/CD cable tv and 20+feet glass doors that overlook the spacious backyard, valley and forest beyond. WIFI now available throughout the house!
Full use of video library, board games and many books. Enjoy sitting by a fire or enjoying nature looking out 16+ foot wide glass doors that open to a 35+ foot deck (with a killer view of valley and creek)!
If you enjoy cooking, you will love the fully equipped kitchen with new appliances including a convection oven, microwave, Bosch dishwasher and huge refrigerator/freezer with ice/water dispenser.
The huge dining room has a beautiful granite-topped table that seats eight with more beautiful views of nature. The bathrooms are sparkling clean and spacious with new Kohler and Moen fixtures, full shower/tub in one bath and shower for two in other bath.
Enjoy the central air-conditioning or open the doors and windows to fresh lake breezes and sounds of nature and water. Full access to washer/dryer and garage also included for your convenience. We don't think you will want or need anymore than what this house offers!
THE PROPERTY AND LOCATION:
The house is located on Lakeshore Drive (on the Lake side of Lakeshore Dr) just south of the Saugatuck city limits. This 1+ acre property boasts a beautiful view of an orchard and woods and is within 200 yds to Lake Michigan and a lake access point (a country roadway that ends at the waters of Lake Michigan) We are also within walking distance via beach or Lakeshore DR. to a large public beach located at West Side County Park.**We are not located directly on Lake Michigan but we are a very short stroll to the Lake (ab. 2 minutes walk down a sandy lane...no busy roads to cross!).

On most days you can hear the roar of Lake Michigan from the house and property. There is plenty of room to roam and enjoy the wildlife including birds, wild turkeys, deer, fox, rabbits, and so much more.
We are situated in an area that offers the privacy and quiet of being in the Lakeshore area, forests and wild preserves while still being a quick drive(5-20min) to the downtowns of Saugatuck, Douglas, Fennville, Glenn, South Haven and Holland.
Enjoy a game of volleyball, touch football, croquet or other outdoor games on the beautiful grassy lawns. A short stroll down a beautiful sandy, tree canopied lane (approximately one block) will bring you to a Lake Michigan access point.
The lake access is one of the only access points to Lake Michigan in the area without stairs! A rare and helpful find for young children, the elderly or disabled. The access point can be used to access miles of lakeshore to swim, fish, walk, run or even launch your kayak or rowboat (sorry, no access to launch large boats). Enjoy the sparkling waters of Lake Michigan!
Just a short stroll north along the shoreline is a public beach at West Side County Park. This beach can be used for sunbathing, games and activities. The park contains a very large (630 ft.) public beach, playground and grassy area, approximately 2/10ths of a mile north on Lakeshore Drive or via a short (approx.4-5 minutes) beach walk.
The city limits of Saugatuck can be reached in about five+ minutes (driving) and the downtown shopping district in approximately ten minutes or less. South Haven and Holland are about a 20 minute drive either North (Holland) or South (South Haven).
SAUGATUCK/DOUGLAS:
World-class shopping, dining, galleries and culture abound in this area. Both towns are picturesque villages with many turn of the century homes and buildings hosting unique shops, gourmet dining, and many art venues including theater, music and the visual arts.
