Overview

Missoula Apartment Rental Photos and Description

1200 sq ft with private entrance in ranch style home near shopping/restaraunts

Roomy basement apartment with private entrance in mid-century modern ranch style home in well established, quiet family neighborhood. Comfortably furnished, complete with linens, bath and kitchen supplies. Sleeps 6-8 with 2 bedrooms, futon and 2 twin roll away beds. Pack and Play and high chair available for little ones. The large yard is fenced and has a play set for kids.

Guests have access to a shared laundry room plus additional half bath and fenced backyard. Please note that this is a basement space with stairs and is below ground. There are large egress windows in living room and both bedrooms that let in daylight sun.

Our interaction can be as little or as much as guests needs from me. My home is upstairs. We may meet frequently on the patio in the summer. I have two small dogs that you will run into frequently so you must love dogs.

This apartment is located in the Lewis & Clark/Southgate Triangle which is bound by Higgins Avenue and 39th Street on the southeast and South Avenue and Russell on the northwest. It is ideally located for getting almost anywhere in Missoula, from the mall to downtown, conveniently.

Staying at close to home offers quite a bit, too. Some of Missoula’s best recreation areas are right here. Spring through autumn, Playfair Park is bustling with activity as families congregate among the soccer fields, tennis courts, and the modern water park, Splash Montana.

Bus stop is less than a block away. Albertson's grocery store complex is two blocks. Plenty of street parking in front of home. Easy access from airport down Reserve Street. The new Kohl's and Cabela's as well as new restaurants are within an easy walk.

Well behaved dogs MAY be considered but please contact me before booking with pets (no cats please). There is a $50 non-refundable pet fee per dog. I have two small dogs, one older and one puppy, so your pets must be able to get along nicely with others.

Please create a full VRBO profile for yourself before booking this apartment. No loud parties or smoking. Please leave the apartment the same way you found it. Close the gate to the yard at all times so my dogs stay safe inside. Please be considerate and I will do the same. Enjoy your stay and have fun!

For detailed rate info please use the links provided. On average, rates are $110 weeknights and $130 weekends. About Linda

Chicago was my home-base growing up but I lived and traveled around the world as an Army brat. As an adult, I made my home in Eureka, CA in 1980 and moved to Missoula in 1993. I am a business owner and live in the upstairs unit of this home. I am passionate about living in the mountains, near lakes and rivers and love the 360 degree mountain views here in the Missoula valley.

Missoula is an active town where you can bike, run, ski, paddle, hunt, fish, hike, backpack, float and camp. Missoula also has hundreds of artists and writers, in part because of the University of Montana, which keeps us all young. We have a great library and bookstores, a symphony, a children’s theater and lots of art galleries. Downtown is a thriving area with lots to do, shop, eat drink and enjoy, especially the Saturday market in the summer.

Linda purchased this apartment in 1993

Why Linda chose Missoula

I fell in love with this home because it has a double city lot which makes for a very large private backyard. I love the mid-century design and I have tried to maintain the style while keeping the integrity and feel of the decade.

There are three lovely fireplaces in the home (one is in the apartment) that we converted to gas.

What makes this apartment unique

When our children all moved out, we remodeled the basement to create the apartment with a private entrance for guests as part of our retirement plan.

The first thing everyone says when they enter the apartment is 'wow'. They are always surprised by the roominess of the living room, bedrooms and bath. Short term rentals allow us to maintain the apartment between guests so it's always in great condition.

Guestbook comments from the owner

The host was gracious and gave an informed description on all the fun things to do in the area after a thorough tour of the house. The host was so welcoming it made me feel like I was staying with an old friend! The listing was one hundred percent accurate and the house exceeded my expectations in every way. The neighborhood was a quiet suburban area that I would be more than content to live in. I can’t recommend any improvements as the host exceeded my expectations in every way.

Spacious, quiet and private - great for families, too

  • 5 of 5

Why would anyone stay in a hotel with kids when you can stay in a private house in a lovely large and private apartment (approx 1200 sq) with two bedrooms, a large living room, a nice kitchen and a large yard with swings for the cost of a hotel stay? As a parent, traveling is not always easy but Linda was so welcoming of my family into her apartment rental. I felt at ease right away in this lovely abode. Yes, I traveled over to Missoula, MT with my 3 kids to spend the Thanksgiving holiday and needed a place to stay at night for the four of us. This darling rental was perfect. It was very clean and spacious with contemporary furnishings. There are two very large bedrooms that are private and situated in the back. If you need extra beds she has two extra fold-out twin beds available (that easily fit in the bedrooms), and the futon in the living room makes into a bed, too. The bathroom is spacious with lots of extra toiletries and towels. There is a very large living room with lots of modern and comfortable seating, and a flat screen TV with tons of channels of cable (even with Disney JR)! The neighborhood is very quiet and nice and I felt incredibly safe at this home. We will most definitely be staying here on our next trip to visit family in Missoula. I can't say one negative thing about our stay here. I am so grateful to the gracious hostess, Linda, for sharing her rental with us.

Wonderful Retreat

Such a wonderful surprise was waiting for us as we entered our vacation apartment; a spacious, beautifully appointed two bedroom basement apartment. Lots of privacy with a truly gracious host. What a surprise to get all of this at such an affordable price! Thank you for such a great place to getaway for a while!

Found this rental to be a great alternative to staying at a hotel. My husband and our 2 kids (ages 4 and 19) were visiting family and really did not want to be on top of each other in a hotel. It was a great find, on a quiet neighborborhood street we had our own entrance to the apartment and access to beautiful yard. It was perfect, plenty of room we could all have our own space, very cute decor, clean and affordable! I especially appreciated the little touches like toiletries, plenty of extra linens and towels and even things in the kitchen like coffee and dishes/utensils. I will definitely seek out this rental on our next visit!

Best place to stay in Missoula!

  • 5 of 5

Why stay in a drab hotel listening to your neighbors conversations through the wall when you can stay in an awesome, comfortable, quiet, lovely apartment a mere blocks from the U and downtown! This was a very comfortable, quiet, easy place to stay and would be great for professionals coming from out of town for court hearings, or business meetings. In addition, it's great for parents visiting their students at the U. The kitchen is well appointed and perfect for preparing meals and coffee; thereby providing an wholesome atmosphere. The apartment was very quiet, clean, adorable, and such a lovely place to stay. I recommend it to anyone!!!!! Will stay here again when I visit Missoula in the future. Had the best time, because I slept well, ate well, and had such an awesome hostess!

Awesome "at home" apartment

  • 5 of 5

I had to come into town for a wedding- had my husband and toddler with me. We were looking for something a little more private than a hotel, and would be spacious enough for my -4- year old to have her own space. The apartment was very clean, extra linens were stocked in the drawers of both rooms, and the cabinets were filled with must haves like coffee & tea. It was very welcoming, easy access in and out, and in close walking distance to albertsons and a yummy sandwich shop! I't not one to normally write a review- but I would definitely stay here again!
