|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
Our spacious home has three levels (the basement is occupied by tenants). You will have access to the main and top levels of the home. The kitchen is fully equipped with a stainless steel fridge, gas stove, microwave, and dish washer. Feel free to make yourself at home and make yourself a meal.
The second bedroom has lots of flexibility. It can accommodate an adult and/or a infant, or 2 adults. It currently has a crib in it, which can be converted into a toddler's bed if necessary. There is also a very comfy sofa in the room, which can be turned into a single bed. If a real bed is preferred, we can also make a twin bed or a queen bed available. The crib and sofa will be removed to accommodate the queen bed.
We love our neighbourhood! We are very close to Commercial Drive, an artistic and hip area of Vancouver with diverse restaurants, bars and pubs, cafes and boutique shops! At the same time, our home is nestled on a very quiet, family-friendly street, and you can get to Downtown easily by SkyTrain, bus, car, or bike.
From our house, you can easily walk to Commercial SkyTrain station within 15 minutes. Or, you can walk about 5 minutes to any of these bus routes:
- #20, which goes to Commercial SkyTrain station
- #22, which goes to Kitsilano Beach, Chinatown, and Downtown
- #25, which goes to the University of British Columbia (UBC), Brentwood Mall, and the Canada Line SkyTrain station
- #19 - which goes to Stanley Park, Science World, and Metrotown Mall
In addition, you can usually get to our place from the airport by public transportation in less than 45 minutes. From the airport, just take the Canada Line (SkyTrain) to King Edward Station. Then take the #25 bus (Brentwood) to Perry Street (listen as the street names are announced on the bus). From there, just walk about five minutes and you're at our place! We can provide more detailed directions if you need them.
In addition to the fully-equipped kitchen, guests will have access to free WIFI, parking in front of the house, and linen for up to four adults and a child. We also have a vegetable and fruit garden, so feel free to harvest our veggies and fruits! We just ask you to leave enough for our next set of guests, and if you're staying for more than a week, to help us water the plants.
Please let us know if there is anything we can help you with before your trip begins. We are more than happy to provide recommendations on places to visit, restaurants to try, and details on how to get there by public transportation, car, bike, or foot.
If we are not available to greet you, one of our wonderful friends will greet you when you arrive and provide you with any information you might need for your visit. We will also provide some brochures and maps in our home.
The house we were privileged to rent was perfect for our family of 3 adults. It is beautifully appointed with everything we needed. The house is in a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors. The location is near main and connecting streets which got us to all the places we wanted to see. This included both a daytime and an evening visit to downtown Vancouver, a drive through N. Vancouver, many hours at Capilano rainforest and area, a gorgeous day at the beautiful VanDusen botanical gardens, a drive through Stanley Park, a walk along the seawall and seeing a cruiser leave for Alaska. Although there are many more interesting things to see and do, they will have to be saved for our next trip to Vancouver. Thanks to all who helped make our stay in Vancouver memorable.
