Situated in a small chalet-style building, this sunny 100 m2/1000 sq ft ground floor apartment has all round views. A spacious light living room with a Danish wood burning stove, cable TV/video/DVD/CD/radio, generous sofas and sofa bed, leading to a sunny south facing balcony and garden. The highly functional modern kitchen has space and all facilities with Austrian round seating 8. 3 double size bedrooms, bathroom, toilet,underground parking. Warm ski storage , toboggans, mountain bikes etc. Drying room and dryer. Kaprun ski area (all year glacier) 4 km, Zell am See ski area 6 km. Family slope, snow rafting 800m. Ski bus stop very close 50 m. Very good price/quality (compare it to French accommodation). Ski passes include ski bus (over 800 km of ski pistes in reach). Excellent connections London Stansted - Salzburg (RyanAir 3 x per day) & Manchester - Salzburg (SkyEurope 2 x per week). Train/bus from Salzburg 1 1/2 hours. Golf 45 holes 3 Km. Ski: The apartment is ideally located for ease of access to all local major ski areas. so it is about the same travel time and distance to Kaprun Maiskogel (4km) as to Areitbahn-schuttdorf-Shmittenhoe (6km). The ski bus is free with the ski lift pass. The bus stops only 100 m from the door of the apartment with 3 seperate departure times in the mornings and 3 more returning times in the afternoons in high season. Information on exact times is available from the tourist office in Piesendorf on www.piesendorf.at If you wish to go further afield you can get to the Kitzbuhl ski area easily by car or local transport; for example by car it is just 30 minutes to the Panormabahn lift to the Kitzbuhl area or 40 minutes into Kitzbuhl town itself Or you can try out Salbach-Hinterglemm about 20-30minutes by car or take the buses But really there is so much skiing in the local area most people not feel the need to travel further! Ski cannons are there to ensure all season slopes.

Golf: There are beautiful golf courses close by The nearest in full view of all the local mountain scenary is beside Furth about 2 km from the apartment This overlooks the new Spa and swimming pool- Hotel-Wellness Centre being built so that by the end of 2010 you can relax in the Spa after after a day of golfing! There is also a lovely course near Mittersill about 20 minutes drive in the car- around 15-20 km from the apartment Other golf courses are also in driving distance

Other Activities: summer skiing/flying/canyon rafting/ice caves/hang gliding/Krimml Water falls highest falls in Europe

We have just returned from a 9 night stay in Piesendorf. The location is fantastic, in a quiet village which nevertheless has good facilities. In the village centre there is a small supermarket, a good butcher's shop and a bakery. A ten minute walk away is a large well stocked supermarket with a wine warehouse next door. There is a large open air swimming complex within walking distance where there are trampolines and and a play area too.
A small train station is just next to the pool, for access to Zell am See (20 minutes) and Mittersill (35 minutes) where there is a bus link to the Krimml waterfalls (beautiful).
It's possible to buy a day family ticket at weekends for 19 euros which gives unlimited access to the train service and we made good use of this.
There are lovely walks right from the door of the apartment, but we also took some ski lifts up to the mountain tops from Zell (spectacular although a bit pricey).
The apartment itself is very spacious, well equipped and clean. We were a party of 4 adults and 2 children and there was plenty of room for us all.
The beds were too soft for our liking, but we were still comfortable after removing the mattresses and sleeping on the bed bases.
The owner answered all of our queries promptly and was very helpful. A problem with collection of the keys on arrival in the village was quickly resolved.
We had a wonderful holiday and would wholeheartedly reccommend this apartment. It was great value for money.

we've spent one week in this appartment in february 2009. the appartment is clean and comfortable and includes everything you need for a pleasant stay. the kitchen was very well equipped. we enjoyed watching the dvd collection in the livingroom, skiing in the neighborhood (a good ski school is nearby). piesendorf is a very quiet and friendly village. i would certainly recommend this property to friend and family and i also hope to be back someday.

We really enjoyed our holiday at this apartment in August 2008. The apartment was clean and comfortable. There was lots to do - mountain walks, swimming (loved the open-air pool in the village), biking but best of all, white water rafting! We also visited Salzburg and Berchesgaden. The village of Piesendorf was lovely and we found a great restaurant nearby.Can recommend this apartment.
