Enjoy one of the Top Ten most beautiful lakes in the world. Higgins Lake is 10,000 acres of pure heaven. This year-round home is just steps away from Higgins Lake, and a five minute stroll to Kelly Beach.

This comfortable home has one main floor bedroom with one double bed. The second level has two bedrooms; one with a double bed the other with a twin and futon. All necessary amenities are provided. Renters must provide your own linens. No Smoking and please leave pets at home.

About The Owner

I grew up in southern Michigan but spent many summer vacations on Higgins Lake. We moved to northern Michigan when our chilren were very little so they could grow up enjoying Northern Michigan and all it has to offer. We are all out door oriented and love to ski, hike, swim and boat so we bought this great cottage we own many years ago. The kids have grown up but still come home and love the cottage and have many wonderful memories so we decided a few yaers ago to start sharing it with other families so they could create good memories like we have. Most all our families are repeat customers and come every summer for at least a week.

Why The Owner chose Higgins Lake

We chose this location because it was only an hours drive from home so we had the convenience of using it frequently. We also chose Higgins Lake because as a child I had many wonderful summer vacations here so I have a life time of great memories. There are several beautiful beach's and we are close to the State Park Camp grounds which is convenient if friends are camping there.

What makes this house unique

I love Kelly Beach, it is clean and has a sandy bottom, it has a gradual drop off so it is great for little ones and it is only a 5 minute walk from our cottage. It also has a great boat launch (and we love to go boating) We have a little grocery near by as well as a laundrymat in case you need to do laundry.

Jeanne thinks of everything! What a joy we not only had everything that we thought we needed Jeanne even provided us with everything that we didn't realize we needed as well. Our family totally enjoyed our visit!

After driving 7-8 hours to get to Higgins Lake, it's nice to be at 'home'.

We just bring ourselves, bedding and some favorite food items ... and we are 'home'. Everything else is provided. We especially appreciate the large supply of firewood for our nightly bonfires.

Our Higgins Lake friends are equally impressed and really appreciate our invitation to stop by and enjoy our 'home'.

You can look at a lot of other places, but few will offer the comfort of home atmosphere and thoughtfulness to provide everything you need for a visit. Jeanne has done a good job of anticipating the needs of her guests.

Enjoy your stay - you'll be coming back!!!

Happy at Higgins!

We have been vacationing at Higgins Lake as a family for over 25 years and I have been going to this area for over 50 years. This cottage has been our vacation retreat for the past 6 years and we love it! Everything is there for you when you arrive, all you have to do is bring a few good books and hope the sun shines. It really feels homey and is decorated just like a summer cottage should be. It is especially nice since Higgins Lake is a beautiful, sandy bottomed lake - you can't beat it! Jeanne has thought of all the necessities. Check it out!
