Northampton House Rental Photos and Description
Paradise in Paradise City
Hello World Peeps! We are offering our big, bright, beautiful home as a last minuet rental opportunity. Our (7,000 square foot) home is a fully renovated, family and pet friendly historic (underground railroad) iconic Gothic Victorian in down town Northampton. There are 5+ bedrooms, a large (cooks) kitchen with professional gas range, complemented by a already planted raised bed vegetable and herb garden, swimming pool and hot tub, multiple private mahogany decks, large lawns, a 100 tree fruit orchard, large screen porch, and many many other wonderful amenities. House comes with cleaning, pool and lawn service. We have WiFi connectivity throughout the property. We back up onto 1,200 acres of federally protected agricultural land, so you feel like you are in rural Vermont, yet we are a couple hundred yards from downtown Northampton, with dozens of restaurants, several famous music venues including the Academy of Music, the Calvin Theater, and the Iron Horse. The Roost, just a few blocks away serves wonderful baked goods, salads and some of the best lattes you have ever had. The Connecticut River is about a mile away, where you can rent kayaks and canoes or even pontoon boats if that's more your speed. The Tri-County Fairgrounds is also a five minuet walk where there are multiple outdoor venues including horse shoes, auctions, art fairs and classic auto shows. The 'rail-trail is three blocks away, where you can take 30 mile bike rides san-autos and under a tall canopy of trees. There is really not a more beautiful town than Northampton, famously safe, family friendly, open and accepting of all, populated by young people (close to 100 matriculated students between the 5 Colleges).
The master bedroom suite is the entire top floor of the carriage-house (king-tempurpedic bed) which is connected to the main house via a bridge. It's four stories of ground level and has fantastic views over thousands of acres south to the Holyoke Range. It features two walk-in closets, a water-closet with two sinks, a large Jacuzzi bathtub inside a walk-in shower. There are four other upstairs bedrooms (all with queen-size beds) a down-stairs guest room with a private porch, a living-room/library with attached screen porch, laundry room, large mud-room, formal dining-room, large kitchen with (6 person) farm table, large walk-in pantry, home office off kitchen, and large decks on three sides of the house. We have a small yoga room (about 8x12) at the highest point in the house (copula) that has spectacular views of the city, fields, and mountain ranges. We have begun to populate the site with photo's, which really don't do the property justice. Much of the work we did ourselves over a 15 year period of time to create a Utopian environment in which to raise our kids. This is the first year we have considered renting our home -sanctuary. We hope you will like it and we look forward to hearing from you.
PS: I had an accident a few years ago, so most of the house/property is wheelchair accessible, via lifts, chair-lifts and ramps. This could be a plus for multi-generational users!
