This 2+bedroom 1500 sq foot condo/townhouse boasts water views from all three levels. It comfortably sleeps 6. A private elevator, accessed from the ground floor garage, transports you and your luggage to the main floor (or you can use the stairs).
The main floor, with water views, includes a new kitchen with eating bar, living area and small dining area, a full bath with tub/shower, a bedroom with queen bed, and laundry.
A private master suite with queen bed, full bathroom with large shower, 3 closets, and study with futon, occupy the third floor.
Watch dolphins frolic in the water adjacent to Cedar Point Environmental Park, while you sip a cool drink on the third floor patio, or the main floor screened lanai.
The community pool and docks are just steps away from the ground floor patio.
Bringing the kids or grandkids? A queen-sized futon and additional air mattress provides extra sleeping options, and a ping pong table, bicycle, and some fishing equipment, are located downstairs off the garage.
Boat dockage is available on a first-come basis (registration/insurance required). The unit's extra long one-car garage has room to store a kayak, which is good exercise, and an awesome way to get around the waterways!
Owners will meet you and fresh flowers will greet you, on the first day of your stay!

Mark and Diane Bassett live in the beautiful city of Sarasota, Florida. Mark runs a surveying office and Diane is a high school teacher. Both are Florida natives and wish to share their eventual retirement home in Englewood, Florida, with others.

Diane and Mark both love the water! After teaching high school for 30 years, Diane wanted a quiet place on the water, to get away, but not far from the grandchildren.
The Oregon Trail condo has the benefit of being relaxing, but is also near modern conveniences, the beach and loads of fishing! It is very easy to fall in love with the water views while drinking your morning coffee on one of the unit's 3 patios.
The furnishings are all new, nautical and very comfortable!
With its own private elevator, guests can send up their groceries (or kids!) and literally live on the main floor. The master suite is truly the ultimate get-away, with its clerestory windows, attached reading room and private patio.

Swim, kayak or walk to Cedar Point Environmental Park, and explore over 100 acres. The quaint restaurants and shops of Historic Dearborn Street are just minutes north, as is Englewood Beach and the famous Lock and Key Restaurant, with plenty of beach activities.
Follow Placida Road ten minutes South to the fishing village of Placida. Famous Boca Grande is just a 20 minute drive away!
The property is quietly located off major roads. If you want night life, a short drive north, into Venice or Sarasota is in order. While in Sarasota, visit Dr. Beach's #1 rated beach in 2013, Siesta Key. Night or day, there is always something to do there!
Do you like to wander through nature? World-renowned Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, is located on the Bay in Sarasota. Or, pack your lunch and drive about an hour to Myakka State Park, and enjoy airboat rides, picnic areas, camping, a canopy walk and plenty of alligator viewing!
Downtown Punta Gorda, about 30 minutes south, has a wonderful farmer's market on Saturday mornings.
Return to the property to relax by the pool, or rent or bring your own boat or kayak, and utilize the property's private docks (2-week limit on boats). Lemon Bay is just a minute away, and Stump Pass, the entrance to the Gulf of Mexico, is about 5 minutes away by boat.
The property is surrounded by nature, and you may never want to leave it, but grocery stores, and other shopping, a library, a hospital, and golfing, are conveniently located within 2 miles.
