Photos and Description of the Pau vacation cottage rental

Our small family gite, which sleeps up to 4 persons, is situated just a stone's throw from the city centre (only a 20mn drive from the airport) and is available for a week's holiday (or longer) through out the year. The gite is situated in a village centre, within walking distance of the bakers, post office, chemists and local shopping centre. An ideal base for visiting the region.On the ground floor is a large family room, with a stone fireplace in the lounge area. The room also includes a kitchen diner area, and a shower room with toilet. Upstairs is a spacious mezzanine area with 4 single beds (90 x 200cm). From the end of october 2009, the room will be separated into 2 to create a double bedroom and a smaller mezzanine area with 2 single beds.In front of the house you'll find a wooden patio area with chairs and table, a barbecue, and loungers. The house is opposite the pool with loungers and parasols, ideal for a well earned dip after a day's visiting the region.

Location: Pyrenees-Atlantiques < France

The house is located in a suburban area, near to the town but even closer to the country side and river. Bikes can be loaned to guests by request to visit the town, ride along the riverside, or for the more courageous, bike up the steep slopes to the top of the 'coteaux'. The house is situated on the corner of the rue Henri IV and the rue Louis Barthou. It is a small crossroad in the village centre. It is not the main road through, but it can be busy at times, particularly in the morning and evening work and school run. However, we are within walking distance of all amenities, and we are just 2km from the station, 10mn drive from the motorway, and 20mn drive from the airport..
