Photos and Description of the Riomaggiore vacation house rental Cinque Terre, typical village, rent 1 or 4 independent rooms, little breakfast.

Near the main rural house, surrounded by the village, there is a small Bed and Breakfast, completely restored, Ca da Iride, (Iride's house) . NO Apartment, NO kitchen, Only Rooms. The house is divided into four independent rooms, all with private bathroom with shower. In every room there is a machine to prepare hot drinks, as coffee or tea, and some snacks with which you can have breakfast. All the rooms have independent entry. The large bedrooms have a private bathroom with shower, equipped terrace or garden, fridge-bar, satellite TV LCD, and air conditioning for maximum comfort. It's possible to request extra single bed and private parking for your car. The village, as everything the national park, can be reached within a small walking distance: the sea in 350 meters, the paths is next, and the railway station in 400 meters, the boats at the same distance.

The park national of Cinque Terre is one of the best preserved areas of the Mediterranean. Historical and geomorphologic reasons have forbidden excessive housing development and the creation of major roadways. Human activity and especially viticulture, have contributed to create a unique landscape in which the development of the typical stone walls is so extensive as to equal that of the famous Great Wall of China. All these, combined with a crystal clear sea, an interesting architectural landscape, a varied and extensive network of paths (one of the most enviable in the whole Mediterranean), makes the Cinque Terre an increasingly desired location among Italian and foreign tourists. This is not so much the result of a successful promotional campaign but rather the spontaneous recognition of the uniqueness of the place, of its beauty, of the enjoyment one gets from or visiting.

  • The structure is a fully restored 'Ca da Iride', (Iride's house), is a small bed and breakfast with 4 rooms. Only Four rooms with independent entrance. NO apartment, NO kitchen, The four large bedrooms have a private bathroom with shower, equipped terrace or garden, fridge-bar, satellite TV LCD, and air conditioning for maximum comfort.
  • The country, as everything that the National Park offers is reached with a small promenade, the sea is at 350 meters, the main road and the paths start from here, and the train station is 400 metres.

Notes: Riomaggiore is in a small valley along the coast, is the first country of the Cinque Terre coming from La Spezia. The country is of original medieval, with houses intersected by small roads and paths protected. The Cinque Terre are famous for the production of the good white dry wine and of the Sciacchetrà, the origins of these products go back at the end of the twelfth century. The little seaport of Riomaggiore is an evocative setting between buildings with typical and coloured buildings. Its famous 'Via dell'Amore' (street of love), a route near sea, connecting Riomaggiore with Manarola.

We had a wonderful time at Casa da Iride

We have been at this wonderful place for a few days, arriving totally exhausted directly from our jobs in austria. When we entered stone-staircase and the door we knew that this casa was the absolute right choice for our short holidays. Our appartement was the one with the small balcony with good view to the sea, absolutely silent (that was good because i had to study for an exame) and great smells up from the lemon trees. For all who consider to visit cinque terre i can recommend this Casa, where you will be treated familiary and if you are polite in this way as well maybe you`ll also get a fresh lemon as a gift when leaving. And sure you will come back. Thanks to the whole team from Casa Da Iride, Hope to see you soon. Andreas and Magdalena from Graz, Austria

First rate accomodations

Newly refurbished and high quality, great semi-private patio, wonderful owners with great attitude, some English spoken by some family members, I highly recommend these accomodations. Website photos are accurate, only upper units have water views but patio is very nice as well. Riomaggorie is wonderful, my favorite of the five villages.
