This may be it! Come enjoy a very comfortable waterfront villa well located on beautiful Seabrook Island. Overlooking a wide tidal creek, expansive marsh, sunsets, shrimp boats and the Bohicket River. Walk right out the back porch to a private dock with a sitting deck, or overlook it all from the privacy of your screened porch. Access the most special treats of the real SC Lowcountry- the rhythm and sounds of changing tides, listening to shrimp 'pop', dolphins in the creek, sweetgrass/marshgrass blowing in the breeze, changing colors with the sunlight, shorebirds, and BREATHTAKING sunsets. Then of course there is the BEACH!
Come slow down, it's restful here. Walk along beautiful beaches, gather shells, ride bikes or horses, kayak, and watch the sunsets from the comfort of your porch or from Pelican Beach. Its a special place for refreshment and relaxation.
Both porches and living area have stunning views! Spacious villa with smart floor plan maximizing privacy and views, offering bedrooms on different levels, living areas above bedrooms. No other villa above or below, so you have a real sense of privacy, even from the porches. First level-master BR w/king size pillowtop, flat screen tv, private BA w/new tiled shower, & waterfront porch just off br. This porch has ground access, making it very convenient to access dock/water. Like a split level, just a few steps up, is 2nd BR/BA with tub/shower and flat screen tv, then up to the waterfront living area with 46' flat screen TV/DVD/Blu Ray/I Pod docking station, CD player, and a wonderful waterfront screened porch and sundeck. Next level is dining area, kitchen and half bath. Enjoy fully equipped kitchen for easy relaxed meals at the dining table, or on the screened porch while enjoying the sunset.
As for the beaches, you are just a few minutes bike ride/drive to perhaps the best (and totally private) beaches along the east coast, where you will find convenient access parking areas for autos/bikes. Take a chair or a towel to the uncrowded beaches, and enjoy the truly spectacular views of the ocean, river, Botany Island and sunsets depending on where you go! If you enjoy beach walking, explore different sections of the beach by walking either direction to 'North Beach' point or 'Pelican/Sunset Beach'. Both points are spectacular, interestingly different, and often where you will find dolphin playing/feeding. Wherever you go, the beaches are gorgeous!
From the villa, you are just a couple minutes WALK to a private pool at the end of the street, and also The LAKEHOUSE, offering state of the art fitness center/indoor and outdoor pools/ping pong/children's playground/grills and picnic tables/basketball/massage therapy, etc! The bike path and equestrian center are also a block away. Here, you can ride horses along the beachfront and/or through bridle trails. (***Advance reservations required).
Kayak and bike rental companies will deliver to your front door. The bike path now takes you directly to Freshfields Shopping Village, the Bohicket Marina, and over the Kiawah River into Kiawah. Due to the secure gated community and quiet atmosphere at Seabrook, the 25 mph roads are user friendly for walking/biking and the creeks/river offer a real treat for the adventurer. You can launch a kayak, or step on a boat from our private dock! Within 5 minutes, you can be at Freshfields Village featuring excellent shopping, several great restaurants/grocery/Starbucks/book store/dry cleaning/banking. Also, the even closer Bohicket Marina area offers a variety of restaurants/shopping, boat rentals/sunset cruises, and more.
Kiawah Island is adjacent to Seabrook, also approx 5 minutes away where you can visit the 5* Sanctuary Hotel with wonderful spa amenities, dining, shopping and art gallery. More restaurants are also on Kiawah, plus public tennis/golf and a fun Nature Center. At neigboring Wadmalaw Island you can visit a tea plantation, winery, and historic picturesque Rockville. Charleston being the spectacular world-class city that it is (approx 30 min easy drive to historic downtown)...with so much to 'take in', plus the historic plantations/gardens, there is no shortage of things to do, just time! However we often opt for staying at peaceful Seabrook Island beach and simply relaxing is our #1 choice.
Whatever your interests, there is something for everyone! Come and see why we fell in love with the most naturally beautiful sea island on the east coast, and then one of the best views/locations on it! As native Carolinians and SC coastal residents for many years, we have frequented many beaches from the NC Outer Banks to the Florida Keys and up the Gulf coast. We truly believe Seabrook offers a unique coastal vacation: jaw dropping beauty, peacefulness, and all with the most private/uncrowded beaches. There are NO COMMERCIAL entities on the island, once you are through the gate. The palmetto trees, magnolias and moss draped live oaks are stunning, healthy beaches offer good shelling, the wildlife is abundant (you are most likely to see dolphins, alligators, a great variety of shorebirds, and possibly deer and fox). Right here at the creek, we see dolphin and salt water mink swimming. Bring a fishing rod, catch dinner from the dock, beach or lakes. Welcome to the best of the South Carolina lowcountry, you are sure to have a great time!
