Vieques island is only eight miles off the coast of mainland Puerto Rico, but in many ways it feels a world away. It's a beautiful, lush island with an endless selection of secluded and often empty beaches, each with soft white sand and warm turquoise water. Vieques offers charming cafes, restaurants and bars for all tastes and budgets, and a number of fine dining options as well. The main town in Vieques, Isabel Segunda, is colorful and bustling, and the smaller town on the south side, Esperanza, boasts a lively strip of cafes and bars. There are also a few grocery stores where you'll find food and supplies to cook meals in your own kitchen.
In addition to lounging on a beach, you can enjoy incredible snorkeling and diving, kayaking and sailing, fishing, cycling, yoga, massage, and of course the famous bio luminescent bay where you'll witness the beauty and magic of a lagoon glowing in the darkness.
Casa Ladera is located about halfway between the Vieques airport (VQS) and the main town of Isabel Segunda where the ferry comes in. The island's largest supermarket, Supermercado Morales, is just up the street, a one-minute drive or five-minute walk from Casa Ladera.
We are just a short drive to the island's best restaurants, shops and bars. It's a one-minute walk to a lovely secluded beach, known as Sea Glass Beach (or Playa Cofi by the locals) and you're just a few minutes' drive from the famous Vieques beaches which are all on beautiful undeveloped and unspoiled land.
Casa Ladera has the perfect location - close enough to everything important, but quiet and secluded enough to feel like you're away from it all.
