Enjoy one of the South's most beautiful lakes while staying in our lakefront rental, The Lighthouse. The Lighthouse is a second floor dwelling that has two levels. On the main level are the living room, which has a 12 foot glass door lending a nice lake view, and a big screen TV; a well-stocked kitchen with a dishwasher, refrigerator with ice maker, and microwave; one bedroom with a TV and king-size bed; one bedroom with a queen-size bed; and a split bath with a whirlpool tub. There is a pull-out single bed in the living room. A washer/dryer room is just outside the bathroom.
Upstairs you will find our 'lighthouse,' an octagon-shaped room with ample windows for a spectacular panoramic view of the lake. Also on this level is a children’s room with twin beds, a TV and DVD player, a lego table, books, and games.
The Lighthouse boasts approximately 1350 square feet of living space and also has a deck with glass 'rails' which give an unobstructed view of the lake. The deck is equipped with a gas grill, table, chairs, and umbrella.
The Lighthouse is adjacent to our home. We have a large dock for your private use, complete with chairs, lounge chairs, table, umbrella, small refrigerator, ladder and a covered boat slip. Also available are a canoe and a five person paddle boat. Young and old alike will enjoy excellent blue gill fishing right from the dock. The property is located very close to Sequoyah Marina, providing an excellent view of the Fire on the Water fireworks show; Stardust Marina is a short boat ride away. Both marinas offer services including boat and personal watercraft rental, boat launch, gasoline and other boating supplies, and excellent restaurants which feature special events like Sequoyah’s famous Friday Night Wings and Corona.
Norris Lake is a few steps across the lawn. The first lake built by the Tennessee Valley Authority, Norris offers over 800 miles of shoreline, much of which is undeveloped. The clean, sparkling waters make it one of the South’s most desirable recreational lakes.
Nearby you will also find Anderson County Park, Norris Dam State Park, and Norris Watershed, which is renowned for its mountain bike trails. The Museum of Appalachia and the Lenoir Museum in nearby Norris offer a unique look into the area’s past.
The fun does not stop with the lake - Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Big South Fork National Recreation Area, and the University of Tennessee (think football!)are all a short drive. We hope you will come experience a wonderful, relaxing stay in our new lakeside vacation home, The Lighthouse.
The Lighthouse is the best spot you'll find on Norris Lake. Not only is it an incredible location close to some of the top marinas on the lake (don't miss Wings Night at Sequoyah Marina) but the accommodations are impeccable. Beautiful decor, super comfortable beds, a well-appointed kitchen, and ample room to spread out. Not to mention, amazing views of beautiful Norris Lake. My family and I have have had several truly fun and relaxing trips there. The kids bunk room upstairs is especially charming. Can't wait to go back!
My family and I love this place! We, my husband and our three kids, have stayed in the Lighthouse each summer for the past three years. It is beautifully furnished. The kitchen is well stocked with everything we need, even paper towels, foil, and plastic wrap. The dishes are beautiful Fiesta Ware. The towels and bed linens are high quality, and the house is always CLEAN upon our arrival! All we have to do is unpack and head for the lake. The dock is wonderful, with a covered slip for our boat and a large swim platform for swimming. It is a very quiet, private property. You will not be disappoined if you stay here!!
We just returned from the Lighthouse rental & I cannot say enough good things about it. We are a family of 5 (Mom, Dad, & 3 kids ages 11-8 yrs) & fit perfectly in this well designed rental. It was extremely clean- kitchen & bathrooms were spotless. The kitchen was well designed & had plenty of storage for our food for an entire week. We made all but 1 meal in the rental & didn't lack for any tools (dishes, pans, baking dishes, utensils, etc). I did inquire ahead of time about 2 items I expected to use (muffin pan & rimmed baking sheet); the owner supplied a BRAND NEW set of baking sheets for us to use as well as providing another baking dish later in the week. We were also told the propane for the grill may run out during our stay & when it did the owner was delivering a full tank within 5 minutes; thus saving our dinner! We have stayed on Norris for 4 years & this rental is one we will look for first when booking again.
Also the boat dock is excellent, enough of space for our 23ft bow rider in the covered dock. In addition to the sitting area & side for quick stops to pick up lake toys & passengers. Even the walk down to the lake was more gentle than most- it's NOT 99 stairs up & down, a nice path from the owners home to lake is a manageable walk with all the supplies you will want for a day on the lake.
The rental is close to Sequoyah Marina but not so close that you are constantly dealing with the water traffic. The roads to the rental are nice (no gravel, drop offs, blind curves) & parking at the rental is great.
This rental is in a nicer residential area, you are not surrounded by other vacationers or rowdy groups.
