Angel Fire Condo Rental Photos and Description
Angel Fire New Mexico at 8600' is a quaint Alpine ski area in the Moreno Valley and is 25 miles east of Taos, . The ski area has all levels of ski runs, snow boarding and tubing. The ski runs have over a 2000' drop from the summit. It is approximately 400 yards to the 'Chili Express' high speed ski lifts. You can view the ski mountain live at the Angel Fire resort website '/winter/whats-happening/webcams.' Angel Fire is in an area known as the Enchanted Circle which includes three other ski areas Taos ski valley(30 miles), and Red River(22 Miles) and Sipa Pu(20 miles if Black Bear road is open). The condo features include three flat screen TV's all have dvd players. There is a 60 DVD library with a wide variety for all ages. Also, small library of hardbound books and paperbacks. If you take a paperback leave one please for the next guest(please do not remove hardbound). Cable TV and free WIFI internet are available I will give the password upon registration. There is a mountain view balcony off the master bedroom, wood burning fireplace, full kitchen with all utensils and appliances(including dish washer), 2 full baths(one up&one down) The master features a queen size bed. The loft has 2 full and 2 twins. There is ample storage for belongings in the closet and dressers. There is a coin operated washer and dryer in our building. The town has a number of varied eateries and Lowe's, a terrific new supermarket that has competitive pricing.
While this is a ski resort the activities are year round. They include a PGA golf course, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, horse back mountain excursions, white water rafting on the Rio Grande and a new Zip Line Tour. Taos features one of the nation's best known art communities. In 1967 Doctor Westphal built the original Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Angel Fire to honor his son who was killed in action. In 2010 it was dedicated as a New Mexico State Park. On the way to Red River lays the Elizabethtown Museum, the site of an 1800's gold rush ghost town. It is thirty miles to historic Cimarron which features the famous Saint James Hotel which hosted such western luminaries as Jesse James, Billy the Kid and Bat Matterson ((website hidden) /nm-stjameshotel.html) It is also the site of Philmont, at 130 square miles the world's largest Boy Scout camp. A nice day trip is to or through Taos over the Rio Grande gorge to Chama to ride the Toltec narrow gauge train.
This is our family retreat and as such we expect it to be treated gently and it is non smoking. You will feel right at home in our cozy home away from home. All you will need is to enjoy. We will conditionally allow pets. Thank you for your interest.
