Newly decorated and furnished throughout, with marble floors and fully equipped fitted kitchen, TV/DVD (plus movie library) and central heating. With a South facing sun terrace overlooking the communal swimming pool, spend your evenings relaxing, barbequing and drinking ’al fresco’. Plenty of free parking. The Jardins de S’Agaró boasts attractive gardens with 2 swimming pools within a private complex. Your local supermarket, butchers, bakers etc are just 500 metres from the apartment down quiet, tree-lined streets, into the quaint S’Agaró High Street. Also a quiet Winter bolt-hole, with reasonable weather all year round, and the opportunity for the occasional day trip into the scenic Pyrenees for skiing with the major resorts: La Molina, Vallter 2000 and Masella just 2 hours away. S’Agaró is close to the bustling marina of Platja D’Aro with its sophisticated shopping and just a short drive from the port of St Feliu de Guixols, with its famous Sunday market. There is a fabulous choice of beaches just a few minutes walk away from the apartment. St Pol Beach (400 metres away) has a long, curved sweep of fine, pale golden sand with shallow waters, sun beds and parasols are for hire, plus sailing, kayaks, catamarans, windsurfing and pedalloes. A selection of quality cafes and restaurants back the beach. The ¼-mile-long Sa Conca private beach is round the corner (500 metres away) and proves popular with young families; snack bar and toilets available. A host of activities are available including - Golf, Snorkelling, Scuba Diving etc. Any drive of 10 minutes or more along the coast will bring you in contact with some of the most beautiful coves, fishing villages and unspoilt sandy bays in all of Spain or head inland into the Pyrenees, plus France is just 45 min away.

Additional information about rental rates

  • 1) A non-refundable booking deposit of 30% is payable to confirm your reservation. The balance is paid six weeks prior to holiday departure date. A refundable deposit of £100 (125 Euros) for breakages is paid in cash to the agent on the collection of keys. The apartment location and local management details will be sent to you when your final payment is received. Normal changeover days are Saturday (but can be flexible for cheap midweek flights - please contact to check) from 3pm local time.

    *** NOTE: Keys on arrival must be collected from the agent BEFORE 9PM.***

    The apartment must be vacated by 11am local time on day of departure. Children are welcome but not pets or smokers. Bath towels, hand towels, a selection of toiletries and bed linen are all provided free of charge - NO HIDDEN EXTRAS. Guests will need to supply their own pool and beach towels.
  • 2) A FIXED CONVERSION RATE of £1 (sterling) = €1.25 (Euro) is used on all published rates.
  • 3) All repeat bookings, the following year, are given a 10% DISCOUNT on published rates.

Airport to Apartment: If you do not wish to rent a car, a taxi will cost you about 40 Euros. It's 19 miles so takes 20-25 minutes. Or a bus service can take you via Girona, where you need to change for Platja D'Aro and S'Agaro. With the expansion of Girona Airport in 2009, there are also a number of seasonal buses appearing ay the airport that will take you to S'Agaro direct.

Safe, Quiet, Clean (and a little famous...): The whole area is very safe, quiet and clean with a wealthy history linked back originally to the Hollywood Greats of the 1920s and 30s (Humphrey Bogart, Charlie Chaplin, Frank Sinatra, Ava Gardner, Orson Welles, Lauren Bacall etc) - so you will feel comfortable walking around the area without a car and (to let you into a secret...) those who have built a little local knowledge of S'Agaró just keep coming back year after year.
