Enjoy morning coffee on the private master bedroom deck and spend lazy days in a hammock or lounger under the 400 ft.² covered south-west facing patio.

Inside this beautiful 1500 ft.² home you will find a bright open layout combining every modern convenience with island charm. The master bedroom features a King bed, sliding doors to its own deck, walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom. This boasts a heated floor, freestanding soaker tub, suspended vanity and plate glass shower. The second bedroom with Queen bed is immediately adjacent to an ultramodern full bathroom with suspended vanity and tub/shower. Two additional guests can be comfortably accommodated on the living room sofa bed.

The spacious living room has an open wood-burning fireplace and lovely views. The dining room features seating for eight. A beautiful fir vaulted ceiling spans the living and dining rooms.

Living room and kitchen enjoy direct access to the covered outdoor seating area.

The fully equipped kitchen has lovely views and is completely modern with high-gloss soft close cabinets and new high-end stainless steel appliances. Plumbing fixtures throughout the house are Grohe.

The main floor laundry with new appliances is in a spacious foyer outside the bedrooms.

We think Ocean Meadows is in one of Salt Spring Island’s very best locations. Vesuvius and Baker beaches, West and South facing respectively and among the island’s warmest, are within walking distance. The house is also within walking distance of a coffee shop and store, and of a licensed restaurant with ocean front patio, specializing in local fish. Yet the location of the house is private and peaceful. Ganges with all its amenities is a 5 to 10 minute drive away.

Our family has been part and then full-time island residents for 20 years. We have owned several homes here over the years including waterfront properties. We think that in privacy, views, sunshine, warmth and convenience, Ocean Meadows is the best of them all! We are confident that you will agree and look forward to welcoming you.

This is our family 'island get together' home. Simon has been a lawyer in Calgary for .... too long! Anna works in the hotel industry in Victoria and her sister Alex and her partner Jerome, pictured here with on their Salt Spring acreage, farm and property manage on Salt Spring. We all love Salt Spring and especially Ocean Meadows, the perfect open and sunny place for us all to gather.

We purchased last fall, and have only recently completed the renovations so this listing is new, hence the lack of reviews. We are determined to exceed your expectations and make your experience completely positive. We think the repeat guests ….and the positive reviews... will follow!

An unbeatable location in the pastoral heart of Vesuvius, close enough to be walkable to beaches and yet private and uncrowded. A sunny south-west facing knoll in a pastoral location close to beaches is comparatively rare and highly desirable. It's hard to overstate the importance of a sunny location on Salt Spring. Add room to breathe and lovely views and you have something wonderful.

A house that 'tracks the sun' almost all day long, but if it gets too hot, a large shaded seating area. Eating all your meals outside for a large part of the year, and being able to sit outside year-round. Peace and privacy. Retreat, romance, family gatherings... Perfect for all this and more.

Vesuvius has a small store with video rentals and coffee bar, and the licensed Seaside Restaurant with sunny oceanfront deck. Ganges, a 5 to 10 minute drive away, has full facilities including a hospital, large grocery stores, a theatre and many other shops and restaurants. Halfway to Ganges are the charming local cinema, public tennis courts and the Golf and Country Club. The golf club welcomes visitors and has an afternoon when children are encouraged to play the course.
