This is an island-style getaway ...
Completely refurbished. Privately owned, and privately managed.
Great waterfront view to wake up to :) There are 2 pools, one heated, with a separate hot tub, both overlooking the water :) And the beach is just steps away :)

A delightful stay! The unit and surrounding resort atmosphere were precisely as advertised. It truly is a hidden gem. The daily dolphin swim-by's in the creek just outside the door were fun. We definitely will return in the future.
After spending 3 noisy, crowded and traffic-ridden days in Tampa for work, we had the pleasure of spending the next 3 days in Ruskin at this resort unit. What a wonderful change of pace from where we came. This unit is exactly as described and pictured and was a steal for the price. It was clean, comfortable and roomy enough for the 2 of us with the extra perks of having a mini-kitchen to make breakfasts, snacks and drinks.
The resort is very nice with many amenities to take advantage of all within walking distance. It was busy, yet our area was quiet, which was enjoyable. The beach is small but nice, and we loved having the complimentary chairs & umbrellas at the beach. We ate dinner at the Sunset Grill, but were unfortunately robbed of the terrific sunsets due to some cloud coverage. Our room was facing the river (not the bay side), & within a few feet we had ringside seats to watching dolphins frolic in and out of this river area sometimes coming close enough to almost touch! It was a splendid sight and we started each morning there with a cup of coffee watching the beautiful sunrises on this side of the resort. It doesn't get any better than this!
Aprile was a gem to work with providing us all the information we needed and there were no surprises from what we were told and expected. Although the town of Ruskin is small and quiet, we found some great local eateries and a grocery store to stock our in-room needs. But the resort offers so much to do (restaurants, bars, beach, pools, hot tubs, tennis courts, shuffleboard, horseshoes, water-sports, etc.), there's not much need to travel away from it. Apollo Beach is only a 10 minute drive away, and in the cooler months, you will see many manatees in the free viewing area. We also found a terrific restaurant in Apollo Beach with waterfront (indoor & outdoor) dining.
Not sure when we'll get back to Florida, but have already recommended this place to friends. It was a GREAT vacation stay and did not last nearly long enough!
This is an exquisite resort facility with all the lovely amenities as described. The sunsets are incredible, the sunrises equally as lovely over the river on the east side units. My unit was on the east side facing the river and I loved it. It was not as busy as the west side, (the gulf side), better suited for my anxious dog. I could walk ten steps out the door and be facing an open view of the gulf and the sunsets. Nearly every day the dolphins come up the river and a few times I saw manatees! Locally, I found the Apollo Beach Manatee viewing area, (8miles and free); Dooley Groves for sweet, juicy honeybelle oranges to be picked or purchased; Tampa and St Pete are less than an hour away and every week there is a festival or fair occurring, as well as famous restaurants. Dog friendly, the beach is lovely, people walking, playground, tennis, basketball, yet the units are quiet and private. I have already booked for next year. Thanks for a lovely stay!
