Modern and beautiful beachfront condominium with spectacular ocean views. The golden sandy beaches of Luquillo are the finest in the island. The condo is situated in La Pared beach, a surfer's paradise. If you like to swim, surf and sun bathe this is the ideal vacation destination. The condominium is only two years young! Luxurious furnishings and decorations throughout out the apartment are comparable to a five star resort in quality for a fraction of the cost.
The decorative theme is relaxed island luxury. The apartment is a corner unit with magnificent views of the ocean and the mountains of Luquillo. After a day filled with exciting activities, you can relax in the 25 ft. balcony facing the ocean. In the distance you will see the lights of the historic lighthouse located near the town of Fajardo and ships at sea. The balmy trade winds provide a comfortable environment and the soothing sound of the ocean will take your stress away!
We recently stayed at this condo, A++. The view is breathtaking from the balcony. Then condo is supplied with everything you need and then some. The manager across the street is very helpful for any needs you may have. Very great location, close to so many activities. The rainforest is very close, a short drive to Fajardo to take the ferry to Culebra and kayaking adventure were top on our list of things we did. I can't express enough how wonderful this condo is!! Our kids had a vacation of a lifetime here. We definately will be back!!
We had such a great time staying at this condo that was beachfront in Luquillo. The area seems slightly sketchy at first glance but we never felt the least bit unsafe and we took the kids (2 and 5 years old) out for a walk every morning and frequently around at night. I cannot emphasize enough how fantastic the view is! Sitting out on the balcony and listening to the waves was one of our favorite things to do. And the surfers were so much fun to watch! The man who watches over the property (Joaquin) was such a great help and even had us over for sangria one afternoon :) The property was clean, reasonably well stocked (had to get some spices and such for cooking, but otherwise plenty of stuff) and it was so nice to have beach toys and chairs to take down to the beach.
Luquillo is a great place to stay on the island-close to El Yunque (about a 5 minute drive from the condo), right by the kiosks and the beautiful Monserrate Balneario beach, and about 25 minutes to Fajardo where you can do some really cool boat trips and the biobay. We also loved having Boardriders right next door. It did get a little loud on the weekends, but we always travel with a sound machine so it wasn't a big deal for us!
My family and I had such a wonderful time! The housekeeper lives right across the street, he was wonderful, answered whenever we needed him. My only complaint/suggestion is that the website pictures do not do justice as to how beautiful the condo and the location really is. The restaurant right next door has great food, plays music (with salsa classes) on Friday nite which was a bit noisy, but all quiet rest of the days. Even the storm wasn't a bother, we still had a blast watching mother nature show off and the crazy surfers. The condo is right on the beach, the famous La Pared. Location is very secure. Owner has the condo fully stocked for what one needs in the kitchen and bathroom and even leaves boogie boards and beach stuff to use. Easy access to all major highways, easy to get to any spot. Supermarket 2 blocks away. Casino up the street and the entrance to the rainforest El Yunque is less than a mile away. All the neighbors and locals very friendly and welcoming. You will love this place, we will most definitely return.
We spend five great days in Luquillo. The fourth-floor condo is comfortable and very well-furnished. Spent a lot of time on thje large balcony overlooking the Atlantic, enjoying the sound of the surf and the ocean breezes. Luquillo is a charming town with a pleasant town square just a block south of the condo. The immediate neighborhood is somewhat run-down, but not dangerous -- and the parking was secure. Dinner at Pasta y Pueblo a block west on our last night in Luquillo was a special treat.
The property was exactly as advertised. The pictures you see online are identical to the condo unit. We appreciated the gated community, especially because this was not a resort area. We had six adults in our group, so the condo fit our needs as it had 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. In addition, it was very handy to have a washer and dryer. The kitchen was fairly well-equipped and met our needs. Although, we usually ate out for dinner.
Sitting on the balcony in the morning was very peaceful and relaxing. The beach right outside the condo was great for surfing, sunning and playing in the sand. Having snorkeling equipment, boogie boards, beach chairs and beach towels in the condo was a plus. A swimming beach is within walking distance and is recommended for families with smaller children.
You can't go wrong with the restaurants nearby. Pasta y Pueblo was fantastic (a short block away). Guava, right next door, was also very good. We also ate at the Brass Cactus and Lolita's. Every restaurant we ate at was great! If you go swimming at Luquillo Beach, be sure to eat at the kiosks-- very good local food.
If you need supplies, we recommend driving a short distance to Fajardo and going to WalMart or Ralph's.
We highly recommend the following activites: Ziplining in El Yunque (Yunke Zipline), hiking in the rainforest and swimming in the waterfalls--all free, Bioluminescent Bay kayaking and mini boat/snorkeling tours (Miniboat Adventures in Fajardo), and a catamaran snorkeling tour (East Island Excursions in Fajardo).
Fred Concepcion was easy to work with and answered all of our many questions. Mr. Cruz was very helpful onsite and did a great job giving us a tour of the condo and overview of the area when we first arrived.
We would highly recommend this property for others searching for a less touristy, more authentic stay in the area. Very reasonably priced, too!
Had a great time in this condo, which is well priced for what's included. Four of us made great use of all the thoughtful extras that we would have purchased if they weren't already provided (like a full-sized cooler with wheels & snorkeling gear for three). We were worried it might be hot in the living room (AC in bedrooms only) but when the patio door and kitchen windows are open a great cross breeze kept it mostly comfortable, even in the heat of July/August.
Owner was easy to work with and his caretaker lives next door to the condo so if anything does go wrong (it didn't for us) you can reach him quickly. Everything was exactly as described and shown on the video tour so no surprises.
As mentioned in other reviews, the neighborhood is not picture perfect but having traveled in South America, Latin American and the Caribbean I would say that the neighborhood is "normal". If you want a resort atmosphere this won't be your place. But if you want comfortable and "real" Puerto Rico this will do just fine. We ate at the local eateries (all good) and shopped at Amigo, which left a little to be desired. Little things like sour cream were not to be found there. Ralph's or Wal-Mart have everything though and are only another couple minutes away.
The guys played golf at Berwind in Rio Grande. The rental clubs were disappointing, but the price was right at $50 per person cart, green fees & club rental. Our favorites were the rain forest, the bio-luminescent bay, snorkeling near the condo's beach "point" and just chillin on the patio with a cold drink and great people.
