A beautiful and fantastically equipped villa!

  • 5 of 5

We were 3 adults travelling with 4 children aged 10, 8, 3 and 8 months. Our whole experience was overwhelmingly positive, from the communication and directions received prior to our arrival, through to our departure. The accommodation was clean and spacious with very effective air conditioning and a well equipped kitchen. Everything worked. The pool was clean (and was cleaned in the middle of our 10 night stay) and there were a good number of sun beds/chairs/inflatables for the kids, who all had a great time in the water. You do need a car as the location is secluded, which was part of its appeal, but the nearest beach and restaurant are less than 10 minutes away and are both excellent. Only slightly further afield is the wonderful sandy beach at Pelosa (I think that's the name!) The description of the villa is entirely accurate and there were simply no disappointing discoveries upon arrival, as I have experienced elsewhere in the past. The old town at Alghero is about 20-25 miles away and is definitely worth a visit - we took a short boat trip to Neptune's grotto from there. Otherwise I think you would have to travel quite a bit further afield to see more 'sights'. In the interests of balance, do note that there is no bath at the property (not actually a problem for us) and the high chair is one that clips onto a table. There are a lot of ants which necessitates vigilance with cleaning up after meals, but as long as you do so this is not a problem. Insects generally are not really a problem but bug spray is a good idea in the evenings. If you want a pool/beach holiday in a family friendly villa then you can't go wrong and we will definitely consider coming back here.

Amazing Property with a Great Location!

  • 5 of 5

An excellent property, definitely well-maintained, with a pool for when the beach just won't do. The villa is near Stintino but a little bit further out, it is close to Ezzi Manu, a quieter beach which is actually less rocky than La Pelosa. Also, we liked La Saline too. La Pelosa is around 20 minutes from the villa.

The villa has Sky News, a fully equipped kitchen (with dishwasher even), and best for two couples traveling together, split master bedrooms. There is a laundry room with a ping-pong table too.

We found that we were able to have a steady supply of hot water, and the water pressure was strong too. The beds are comfortable, and the rooms are well equipped. There can be some issues with lighting in some of the rooms, but it was easy enough to work around that.

The closest grocery store we found was SISA in Stintino town, but it was a bit shabby. We also went to LIDL in Sassari, which was a bit nicer. There are many restaurants around, but many are closed during the day. There are some Snack Bar ones open for lunch.

We were close enough to do some sightseeing nearby too, we went to some agriturismo venues and the cave near Alghero as well as exploring Alghero proper. Each was about an hour away.

At the villa, there was a cute cat who seems to know how to get treats and still understands that they are not allowed into the living area. The pool area is outstanding, and is partially shaded starting in the afternoon. It's a bit chilly, but you can adjust very quickly. On one day when it was extremely windy, we found the pool to be a nice refuge for swimming and still enjoying a day by the water.

The villa does not have a safe, which would be one feature you may want to be aware of, but other than that it is very similar to a hotel room amenities. There is no wifi in the villa, but from our rental car company in Olbia we received a 4G wifi doggle, which worked very well, when it was placed in the dining room, but not so well when inside the villa.

All four of us really had a great time, we all think we will go back, and the process of booking and the return of the security deposit was seamless. It was a great overall experience for our first trip to Sardinia!

Beautiful sound of silence

  • 5 of 5

Our family consisting of two adults and three children aged 3 , 11 and 14 were very excited before our arrival at Villa Ezzi .

Correspondence in advance of the trip was impeccable.

The property is big and beautiful and the kids had great fun on lizard hunting. We even had a visit from a turtle a couple of times.

The villa was spacious and lacked nothing of kitchen equipment etc. The weekly cleaning was great!

The only thing we thought could be a bit better was that it was a bit small seating in the living room for our family . There were a lot of mosquitoes in the evenings , so we mostly sat inside in the evenings after the sun went down. Five people sharing one sofa was a bit too crowded, the red chairs were not so comfortable,

Recommend mosquito poison for those who are very allergic , our daughter was completely eaten up by one day .

It was fantastic not to hear anything but sheep bells and birds chirping in the morning , at night the toads had their concert :-)

Surrounding area was absolutely beautiful and it was extra nice to sit outside by the barbecue area at sunset and watch the meadows around.

The pool was also wonderful. Weekly cleaning was outstanding.

With our rental car we found several secluded beaches where we were practically alone, and visited several of the towns around. Stintino, Aghero , Porto Torres , etc.

We were three weeks in Sardinia and Villa Ezzi and we would recommend it to anyone who appreciates peace and quiet and beautiful sorroundings.

Greetings from Norway

Very nice villa !

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful stay in Villa Ezzi. Booking was very easy, with clear and swift communication by email. The villa is as described and everything was very clean. The swimming pool is fabulous ! In the master bedroom some noise of the waterpump, but really nothing to worry about. All bathrooms do have a separate boiler, so no problems regarding hot water.

The house is build in a clever way; it is always possible to enjoy the sun in autumn or spring, or to enjoy the shadow in the summer.

Seaview is there, only slightly affected by a visible factory. Beaches in the environment are really nice; crystal clear water indeed! The centre of Alghero is definitely worth visiting.

Tip: Sardinia is bigger than most people think it is. If you want to explore the whole island, you definitely need much, much more time than the one week we spent. Well, it's a good reason to go back to Sardinia one day ....

Owner's Response: Thank you Gerald and family for the wonderful review. We are always pleased to provide a good service from beginning to end and your review will be very useful for future guests consideration. I would just like to make clear any doubts that might be mis interpreted relating to the sea view and clarify that the view of the sea is directly in front and uninterrupted. Although the factory of Porto Torres is visible above the trees it is quite far away and well over to the right of the direct sea view. The remaining views from the villa are of the surrounding countryside which gives Villa Ezzi the privacy and peacefulness one might not experience nearer town. Thanks again and we hope you will return and include Villa Ezzi within your next visit to Sardinia.

Villa Ezzi

  • 4 of 5

We had a fantastic holiday at Villa Ezzi. Everything went very smoothly. The villa was modern, lovely, clean and very well maintained. The facilities were as described on the website and the welcome pack was appreciated, as was the mid-stay clean. All communication with Karen was straightforward and stress-free.

The villa is very secluded, which was great for us as we had a very peaceful and relaxing holiday. The pool is excellent and has sun and shade all day. There are pleny of sun loungers and pool toys. The children particularly enjoyed playing table tennis. A car is necessary to get around.

We loved the local beach at Ezzi Mannu and also enjoyed visiting Porto Ferro beach and Alghero (45 minutes away). We can also recommend the local restaurant La Perla (5 minute drive).

The highlight of our trip was a day out on the Andrea Jensen sailing boat from Alghero. Fabulous for adults and children alike.

Villa Ezzi

  • 4 of 5

We have just had a lovely relaxing holiday. The viila is spacious, however, the kitchen area is a tad on the small side, especially as we were a family of six adults. The master bedroom was large with a great patio where we tended to have our lunch. We would recommend the old town of Alghero for a visit - lots to see and plenty of shops.

We agree with one of the reviewers to go and do any major supermarket shopping in Porto Torres.

The beaches were great and we visited quite a few in the area.

The communication received from karen was faultless from the beginning when we booked to the return of our deposit at the end of the holiday. We had one minor problem that was sorted out swiftly by Karen and Tora.

Altogether, a very good holiday "away from it all" in a beautiful country and friendly local people.

Ezzi Mannu is found in the far North West of the beautiful island of Sardinia with the long and sandy Ezzi Mannu Beach conveniently accessible at just 5 minutes from the villa. Stintino town is close-by at just 10km, a very quaint harbour town which offers all amenities and conveniences one would expect. An excellent choice of restaurants and cafes, a varied selection of shops, super markets as well as a weekly open market well worth a visit. Further along the coast towards the very tip with a choice of beaches on the way, there is the area of Capo Falcone which over looks the Island of Asinara National Park not to mention the most popular, stunning and renowned La Pelosa Beach with its amazingly clear and shallow waters in shades of turquoise. An excursion by boat to the Asinara Park or a fishing trip around the Asinara Island is recommended. The local area offers a variety of sporting activities such as wind surfing, deep sea diving, horse riding and tennis. Boats, pedalloes and jet skis can be hired from the Pelosa beach during the main season.

The historic towns of Alghero (on the coast) and Sassari (a larger town inland) are well worth a visit and are both within easy driving distance. In Alghero the busy cobbled streets and the bastion wall are a particular feature making it a wonderful place for a day trip, the Lido and large harbour also a point of interest with great atmosphere. For dining, the local Agriturismos are well worth a visit where you can sample the delights of traditional Sardinian food and local wine.

All in all there is plenty to see and do in the area with other places of interest recommended within the information folder found in the villa.
