El Condo Que Canta, or 'the Condo that sings, ' brings a touch of the Mexican Riviera to this stunning stretch of Southern California coastline. The gracious two-bedroom condo ,a first floor unit, is on the ocean side of Pacific Coast Hwy, and is next to the clubhouse and pool. It is located across the street from the Salt Creek Beach parking lot and the steps leading down to the beach, where you'll also find the Ritz-Carlton Monarch Beach, and is next to a beautiful heated pool and ocean-view Jacuzzi. Imagine world-class surfing, relaxing beach walks, and spectacular sunsets, which are all the way of life here.
This lovely beach home has been carefully decorated in rich tropical colors with warm accents, stained hardwood doors and molding throughout. The master bedroom offers a luxurious king saddle bed set, flatscreen TV, its own private patio, and a a new high quality mattress. The second bedroom has both a queen bed with new Heavenly Bed mattress and a daybed as well as stylish Tommy Bahamas-style teak and rattan furnishings. In the living room, entertain yourself with a flatscreen TV, high definition (HD) cable, and high-speed wireless internet.
The open kitchen has granite counter tops and is fully equipped, and there are two private patios--one with a new propane Weber BBQ and outdoor patio seating. Eco-friendly amenities are provided in both granite top bathrooms. Master bathroom features new walk-in white tile shower with frameless glass door and glass pane, and the second bathroom has a new deep soaking tub, new tile, and new toilet. New windows and siding complete the recent renovation.
In addition to the central pool, the complex offers Jacuzzis. There are more outdoor activities and water sports available nearby than most of us can imagine. Soft surfboards are available for guest use. Stunning beach walks and extensive hiking trails from the property, and it's an easy stroll down to the gorgeous Dana Point Harbor. After sunset, spend the evening strolling the harbor with its waterfront restaurants and boutique shops.
You can also take a 10 minute drive North to artsy Laguna Beach or South to funky San Clemente. My guess though is you won't want to drive anywhere, since you'll have an unforgettable California play land right outside your door.

We stayed on week and loved it! We'll exceeded our expectations! We loved the location and the property amenities . Since we had never used a VRBO rental we were a little skeptical. We were told parking at some rentals was a big problem or photos may be outdated in many VRBO rentals. Not the case at all for this property! Parking was right in front and the condo has actually had upgrades. We have 3 children 6-17 and everyone was comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. I have a lot of back problems and slept better than I do at home in the king bed. In the condo master. The owner is very responsive to any needs or questions as well. We are sold on the idea of the condo rental vs hotel and it is a much better value by far.
I'd like to pass on a few thoughts if you're considering staying in Dana Point and haven't traveled to this area. First, great area to stay if you want to visit Disney and Lego Land. It's an equal easy drive to both. Fly into SNA if possible, the drive to/from LAX is horrible. If you have the chance to eat at The Harbor House cafe do not pass it up!! This area is beautiful and laid back. You will never be bored!
Our entire family was so sad to leave and wish we could stay longer. We will return ASAP!

I spent a wonderful 2 weeks at the condo. It is truly as advertised. When I arrived I was ill, and when I walked into the Master bedroom I about cried with joy. The linens were so pretty, and the room was very well decorated. I unloaded the car, then climbed into bed for the next 24 hours. When I was feeling better I walked to the cliff overlooking the Pacific, and just soaked up the sunshine. It is close to everything, shopping, restaurants, the harbor, and medical facilities. I went whale watching out of Dana Point 3 different times, and saw whales on each trip. The electronics were in excellent working order, and the Wi-Fi was speedy. My cousins came for the last weekend, and we had plenty of room for the 3 of us. I walked down to the beach 2 times on the stairs, even though I had just had a total knee replacement in September. The steps were gradual with many landings. The views of the houses below the cliff are unbelievable, from above, as well as below. If you walk up the center stairs you cut right through the neighborhood, but be sure to stay on the marked trail. It is a treat to see the wonderful landscaping, and if people don't follow the rules they may restrict the area. I used the pool and it was great. Yes it is heated! The other residents were friendly, as were the people visiting the park at the beach. I hope to return to this wonderful property in the future.
We have visited Orange County for the past several years, this condo was by far the best equipped of any we have rented. Our two daughters joined us for a few days and there was plenty of room. The hiking trails were great with spectacular views. This property is very close to the pool area. It is just a short walk to the beach.
