Balcon de San Miguel was built in 2005 to a high standard. It is situated on the edge of San Miguel de Salinas a small town with a good selection of restaurants and shops. The apartment is approached from the ground floor, but the living area faces out at first floor level with a balcony. It sleeps 4 comfortably, 6 if necessary with 2 bedrooms - 1 good size double with en-suite facilities, 1 good size twin - and a double sofa bed in the lounge area. As well as a balcony it has a drying patio off the kitchen. Ideal family base. Beaches and Torrevieja also 15 minutes away by car. Easy walk into town. 200 metres to country walks. Ideally located for golf - several golf courses within 10 minutes drive. Although we recommend car hire we can arrange for airport transfers and there are good bus connections to Alicante, Torrevieja, etc. from San Miguel.

Nearest Airport: Murcia at 30 Kilometres
Nearest Motorway: San Miguel de Salinas at 1 Kilometres
Nearest Beach: beach at 10.0 Kilometres

San Miguel is an historic Spanish town on the edge of the province of Alicante, close by Orihuela and Murcia. San Miguel de Salinas has all the essential facilities of a small town including banks, restaurants, bars and shops all within easy walking distance of the apartment. The large bustling town of Torrevieja with numerous restaurants, bars, shops, etc and a wonderful promenade with a night time market and funfair is a short drive away. Murcia airport is around 30 km away with Alicante airport 60 km. For those interested in historic buildings Cartagena and Murcia are less than an hours drive away. For golfers there are many professional golf courses within a short drive notably Villamartin, Los Ramblas and La Finca. There is a huge selection of lovely beaches including Guadamar (20km of fine sand) with the nearest being about 10 minutes away by car.

Notes: There is no air conditioning, but the apartment remains cool throughout the day with a ceiling fan in the living area. We get the setting sun on the terrace. We have indirect sunlight throughout the day making the apartment light as well as cool. Being on the ground floor the apartment is pushchair friendly. All windows have heavy duty blinds.

Location: Balcon de San Miguel is a complex of 54 apartments with small communal pool. San Miguel de Salinas is conveniently situated for golf, beaches, shops, etc. It is only 30 minutes from both Alicante and Murcia airports. This is a small complex and the communal areas are maintained to a high standard. This is a residential building and there are some basic community rules that we are asked to abide by. There is a list of these in the apartment that includes things like: no excess noise after midnight; no running in the corridors or ball games.

Special note:: There is some traffic noise.

What a lovely surprise when we arrived, a very spacious, clean and well looked after apartment in a lovely location, easy parking, easy access. Glyn the manager was very helpful. Would highly reccomend this accomodation to anyone who has a car and needs a base to visit the surrounding area.Torrevieja 20 mins, Murcia 40 mins,Cartagena 1 hour,Alicante 1 hour, Mil palmeras beach (wonderful) plus other lovely beaches only 15 mins away.Lots of local bars and shops within walking distance. We're going again in June.
