This garden cottage in the heart of the village, incorporates a former hayloft as first floor lounge. Ground floor entrance hall opens into kitchen / dining room with original Victorian fireplace; bath and laundry rooms also on this level. Open staircase leads to large double bedroom ( 5ft bed with cotton bedding), and the lounge with French doors (guard rail) overlooking views of walled garden and village. Local pubs, restaurants and shop are all within easy walking distance. On the edge of the Cotswolds, Adderbury, less than 25 miles from Oxford, Woodstock, Warwick or Stratford on Avon, is well placed for visiting London and Birmingham via M40. Many National Trust properties are within half an hour driving through wonderful countryside.
The area: Hannah's Cottage is a good base from which to tour the center of England. There are many National Trust properties and other places to visit within 1/2 hour drive, and further afield the palaces at Windsor and Hampton Court make a day's excursion. There are many interesting walks in the village itself. The towns close by offer a wide variety of styles and entertainment.
Things to do: There are Sports facilities in the village and in Banbury including swimming, tennis, golf and squash. Oxford and Leamington can offer other attractions including Bowling and theaters. There are many restaurants and pubs in the neighboring villages as well as in Adderbury and Banbury.
Hannah's Cottage is in a quiet part of the village with immediate access to good pub(s), and a very good grocer/butcher. It is a short drive from Banbury for larger grocery shopping but access to the immediate countryside in minutes.
Clare & I loved our two day break for its quiet and tranquility. The cottage has everything one would wish for in a modern home, and its comfort only added to a good two day break.
Reading the visitors book confirmed that others had similar experiences, and its without reservation that we recommend this Cotswald hideaway.

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely weekend stay at Hannah's cottage and it was just what we needed. Peace and quiet as well as lovely surroundings. The cottage itself is idyllic, spacious but still very cosy. Despite the cold weather it was very warm and comfortable. We felt that the welcome gift of eggs, bread, milk ect was a nice touch. The village itself is beautiful. We enjoyed exploring the surroundings and the pubs!!! All in all we had a lovely relaxing stay and it was value for money. We miss It already and can't wait to return.
We stayed for 2 nights in May at Hannah's Cottage - unfortunately only 2 nights! We really enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend the house!
The Cottage is a beautifully furnished, cozy holiday home in which nothing is missing. Not even breakfast: bread, butter, eggs, jam, juice and milk - a wonderful surprise to us we have never had before in a selfcatering house! The photos of the house show exactly as it is. It is quiet even though it is right in the village center. Charlotte and her husband are very friendly, helpful and humorous! And locals: we learned a lot about local traditions like Morris dancers, bell ringers and a totaly unknown game called „Aunt Sally“ ;-)) Adderbury is a beautiful historic place in beautiful surroundings away from the crowds of the Cotswolds but near enough to a lot of interesting places.
Even if it was mid-May we had storm, rain and cold nights but Hanna's Cottage was a real "home" with heating, bath, red wine and a wonderful bed! And at a really fair price.
We say "thank you" and hope to come back again.
Charlotte and Chris provided a warm welcome to Hannah's Cottage in picturesque Atterbury. The loaf of crusty bread, butter, marmalade, milk and juice was a welcome sight. We stayed at the cottage for almost two weeks. If there had not been a scheduling conflict we would have stayed longer.
My wife has some mobility problems but the steps were not a problem. He cottage was very clean and well equipped. Charlotte took the time to show us how every appliance worked. Having the laundry facilities was a great convenience.
There is a small store a few steps away for convenience. A larger superstore is a few minutes away in Banbury. There are four pubs in Atterbury with three being within walking distance.
The walks in the village and the surrounding countryside were like something your read in books. The quiet was interrupted by the church bells tolling or children going or coming from school.
It was a lovely holiday. We recommend a stay at Hannah's Cottage for anyone wanting a quite getaway. It was five star.

Two years ago today we arrived at Chris and Charlotte's lovely home. We stayed for a month and hated to leave. The friendly treatment by those two lovely people is behond compare. The quiet walks around the village is so peaceful you do not want it to end. Hannah's cottage is the perfect place for a short stay or extended one. Loved it!

We found 'Hannah's Cottage' on the holiday rentals website, what a hidden gem it really is. In a perfect village location, a fantastic little one bedroom cottage with spacious kitchen, lounge, bathroom, en suite and garden access. The kitchen was full of all the required utensils for cooking and a lovely welcome pack of eggs, milk, home-made bread and marmalade was very well received. Four pubs in the village, all within walking distance and all serving good home-cooked food made for a fun Saturday night out, with a warm welcome from all of the locals. Charlotte & Chris were so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed (even a pinch of flour and dribble of oil) to help us cook our roast dinner!!! The lounge was very comfortable with DVD player fitted in the TV and the bedroon had one of the most amazing beds I have ever slept in.
To sum up - Fantastic value for money - charming cottage - perfect village - excelent hospitality - We will be back!
Fantastic Easter Break - Thank you!

Adderbury is one of the 'Ironstone' villages of North Oxfordshire, all built in the local Hornton stone around lovely churches. Neighboring Bloxham, King's Sutton and Deddington are all within 4 miles. A little further are the more well-known attractions of Broughton Castle, Wroxton Abbey, Oxford, Blenheim, Stratford upon Avon and Warwick. There are at least 4 golf courses within 7 miles of Adderbury and Banbury has a new Sports Center nearing completion as well as a most attractive canal side district. The railway station at Banbury has frequent services to London and Birmingham as well as more local destinations.
Adderbury is a good center from which to walk - both within the village and further afield. In each direction a pleasant walk of 2 miles or so will bring you to a good pub lunch. The local bus service to Banbury in one direction, or Oxford in the other, enables you to forget your car and yet still access lovely places that are 'beyond the parish'.
Other Activities: There are 4 golf courses within 5 miles. Many more within an hour's drive.
