A stone farm building dating back to the 18th century, the property has been turned into a family home by its renowned interior designer owner, to create a highly individual home, with a superb 10m marble mosaic lined pool, installed in 2010. The house has 5 bedrooms: 2 bedrooms are in a separate guest annex, accessed via the first floor of the main house. each of these rooms has its own bathroom- a shower room on the lower floor, and a bathroom on the upper floor. each of these rooms is ensuite.The smallest bedroom, a twin room, is set beside the second bedroom, and accessed through the second bedroom. as such this room is suitable for young children sleeping nearby their parents. these 2 bedrooms share one bathroom. The master bedroom is on the main living floor, and has a large copper bath at the end of the bedroom
Im an interior designer based in London- I run a successful practice here, and spend much time in Paris and in the south, escaping the pressures of work. La bergerie is very much our home rather than a rental property, and we hope you enjoy staying here and much as we do.

I fell in love with the setting- the garden on the hillside, and the extraordinary and idiosyncatic house built onto the hillside. We have gradually restored the house, and its home to an ever increasing collection of antique textiles. Its a wonderful area- unspoilt and unpretentious. We love the position half way between the sea and the mountains, and its the perfect place to restore the soul.
Anduze is situated at the edge of the Cevennes hills, close to spectacular countryside, and within easy reach of Montpellier, Avignon and Nimes.
The beach of Magallon is within an hours drive to the south; canoeing on the Tarn and the Gard rivers is within close reach, as well as the spectacular sights of the Roman bridges and amphitheatres of Avignon Nimes and Arles. For those in search of nature, the cevennes offer wonderful walking to the north, and the extraordinary area of the Camargue lies to the south beyond Nimes. There is a huge variety of local attractions, but the greatest of all is simply relaxing by the pool in the garden.
