About Pamela Chatry

Experienced Hotelier and Business Managers who love to travel. We understand what it takes to feel comfortable when away from home. You will be welcomed by us, given an orientation to the RV, Casa Nash and helped to settle in. We have tried to think of everything you will need while staying in our Parked RV Holiday home.

Pamela Chatry purchased this recreational vehicle in 2014

Why Pamela Chatry chose Stanley Park

We love RV camping as they are all about simplifying life. Cozy surroundings with the family gathered around the table playing games, getting to know your neighbors from all over the world...isn't this how life should be? We love this lifestyle so much that we decided it would be fun to share it with people who may or may not have the chance to RV. We also saw that many travellers from Europe and around the world are fearful of having to drive in a foreign land and tow. Our Parked RV Holiday is a much safer way of towing, not to mention environmentally conscious.

What makes this recreational vehicle unique

Our guests have told us that the RV, Casa Nash lacks for nothing! They love the way the kitchen is stocked for cooking, the bedding is fresh and new and the towels thick and plush. Pamela has shopped specifically for Casa Nash. There is everything you need to feel like you are at home. We have also located the RV in the only urban RV in all of the Vancouver area, close to shopping and all the fabulous attractions Vancouver has to offer. Urban yet still quiet and safe. Capilano RV Park is safe, secured and quiet. We love our RV Casa Nash and hope that you do too!

Family trip

  • 5 of 5

We stayed with two teenagers boys. The trailer is very well equipped even umbrellas.

Everything is ready to go.

The location is easy to access to hot spots and malls (one block away Royal Oak mall and Lion Gate Bridge).

I was impressed for welcome presents and card.

The owners and office staffs were helpful and warm welcoming.

For staying, ran out of the propane gas. It fixed within 10 mins. Awesome!!

Thanks again~

Owner's Response: Wow! Thank you for the kind words. We are so pleased you and your lovely family enjoyed the comfort and all its' conveniences of our RV, 'Casa Nash' and the location near The Lion's Gate Bridge, Stanley Park, Park Royal Shopping Centre and other amazing sites while visiting Vancouver. It's also good to hear everyone is friendly and helpful. It is what we aim for. As many of our guests have never stayed in an RV before, we want to be very responsive to their needs. Matters such as switching to the other propane tank are often foreign tasks so it is important for our guests to feel supported and the issues resolved quickly. Please come back and visit our RV, 'Casa Nash' again very soon! You will always be welcome. Happy trails through life!

Just like a small hotel room at an amazing location

  • 4 of 5

Our family of four stayed for 4 days and we really enjoyed it. If you've stayed in an RV before this is a slightly larger than average fifth wheel. If you haven't stayed in an RV it was like staying in a hotel room in a more compact space. For an amazing price we had all the amenities and at a great location, located just across the lion's gate bridge from downtown Vancouver. Traffic can be congested depending on the lane configuration at the time, but generally it moved fast anyways. Regardless, you are so close to Stanley park walking across the bridge isn't out of the question either even for our young family.

All in all we enjoyed our stay here and would come back again as the pros heavily out weighed any of the cons of this place.

Summary:

Pros:

Large shopping mall one block away

Across the bridge from downtown Vancouver

Very close to North Vancouver sights

Easy to get to via Highway 1

Pool, playground, laundry, full showers etc in the RV park

Great price

Full AC and heating

Cons:

Compact space

RV toilet

Some road noise due to proximity to the lion's gate bridge

RV park itself was generally just a parking lot of RV's with very little green space (to be expected due to location)

6 gallon hot water tank (to be expected in an RV)

Owner's Response: Terry, Thanks so much for staying with us and for taking the time to share your thoughts and compliments on your stay in our RV 'Casa Nash'. We appreciate you and your business. It was great to meet you all and are glad you and your lovely family enjoyed the convenience of the location, being in the heart of Vancouver. It's great the you took the time to walk over the historic Lion's Gate Bridge! It is a short walk from our RV 'Casa Nash' and well worth it, particularly if the cruise ships are travelling under it. 'Casa Nash' is definitely urban 'glamping' and great for those who enjoy the RV/camping experience, those wanting to save money while staying in an expensive city, and for those wanting to be in the heart of all the tourism and convention activities Vancouver offers. Yes, it does have an RV toilet, but we have hooked it up to city water, as well as the city sewer system. Showers and toilets work almost like home, just with a smaller hot water tank, and with the use of the RV toilet paper provided. We have found that if there is a larger group, our RV, 'Casa Nash' guests find it convenient to use the very clean showers that Capilano River RV Park provides. Staying in a RV, no matter how big (or small) is a close, and fun, family experience. Our RV, 'Casa Nash' is 30 feet long with a pop-out for additional width. There is some great storage in the bedroom under the queen bed, under the bunk beds, as well as hangers in the closets for all your clothes. However, we acknowledge the space can be an adjustment when we are used to our bigger homes! Thanks again for staying with us Terry. Please come back and visit us again and in the meantime, may life bring you happy trails!

Family visit in Vancouver

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I recently stayed at Casa Nash and enjoyed the accomodations and location very much. The trailer is wonderfully equipped with almost everything you need. It was clean and well-maintained. The park is within walking distance to shopping, Ambleside Beach in West Vancouver, close to public transit, within biking distance to Stanley Park (we rented bicycles at the gate of the park and biked the sea wall!) and a short drive away from the Lonsdale Quay area in N. Vancouver. I would definitely recommend this as a conveniently located, reasonably priced accomodation for those visiting the Vancouver area. The owners are very personable, helpful and that also helped to make our stay enjoyable. The only minor negative was that the hot tub at the park did not appear to be well maintained.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for taking the time to review our RV, 'Casa Nash'. We appreciate your feedback. It's great to know that you enjoyed your stay, along with all the conveniences and activities that come along with it's location in West Vancouver. Thanks as well for the note on the hot tub. We have spoken with the park and they have informed us that the pool and hot tub are inspected by the health department on a weekly basis and pass with high standards. Having said that, they acknowledged that, due to heavy volume of guests throughout the summer, it gets closed for a period of time to deep clean and mechanically overhaul. It is likely that your stay was around one of these occasions. They made note of your comment and will ensure guests are aware of this activity. We appreciate you taking the time to provide us with a review and hope you will come back soon. Happy trails!
